(Cant imagine what is like to be normal, to not have everyone gawk at you like some animal, to not be thought of as god's twisted perverted plan, I wake up everyday hoping its not real that I'm just one person, but then I see his smug little face and hear his annoying voice and it reminds me that I'm a freak all over again). "Good morning Reggie" (My dimwitted brother Ross speaks) "Whats so good about it Ross"? "Still stuck with your insufferable innards" (I snarl). "Come on brother it isn't that bad" (Ross speaks again, both of us getting up from our bed at the hospital and walking over to the mirror to see ourselves in full light, we are conjoined twins, a two headed guy, we share our organs, one heart, one stomach, two lungs and two different brains, Me Reginald Winhelm & my disturbed brother Ross Winhelm, Ross unfortunately has a problem, he didnt get enough oxygen at birth so hes much slower than the rest of us, me on the other hand intelligent, we were born of a rich family, but due to our "Deformity" as they call it our parents abandoned us at this hospital since the age of 12, they kept us hidden before that, of course noone could understand our abnormality and would have feared it. Still the ones that this hospital have been trying to keep our lives separate from another, to which has backfired in every possible way, I wanna go out onto the world a free man away from hospital rooms and terrified screams from nurses, I cry every night but to Ross its normal) "What are we gonna do today brother"? (Ross smiles at me, I dont hate my brother or not love him, but sometimes I wish I was alone, where he didnt exist, but if I said that id be the villain) "I dont know Ross, go to eat breakfast, try to get outside in the courtyard but I dont believe that'll ever happen" (I look down at the legs we both share) "Maybe today Reggie, they wont keep us hidden forever you know"? (Ross and I go over to the window and peer outside onto the courtyard, where people just like us either mentally are physically play outside, but then again noone is like us). "Ross you ever wish we were different..... separate"? (I ask) "Well I do sometimes, but I realized id be boring look at us different, exotic, new, I wouldnt wanna lose you for the world brother" (Ross stares at me with his kind eyes.) "I love you Ross" (I smile at him) "I love you too Reggie" (Ross moves his arm to hug me) "Lets get ready to start our day buddy okay" ( I say in a soft but firm tone, then both of us walk over to the dresser where our clothes are kept, we have to get our clothes specially made to fit over both our heads, its sad but I'm grateful we can wear regular pants, we put on a black shirt and some jeans and walked out our door to the cafeteria.)
(When we made it there, someone was waiting for us) "Hi Ross, Hi Reggie" (A girl around our age ran to us to give us a hug) "Hi Laney" (I said, Laney wasnt really all the way there either, everyone called her Insane Laney because even though she was a hot 20 year old girl, she had 24 people inside her head, A racist 85 year old man named Crow, A 25 year old whore named Alice, A 13 year old intellectual dweeb named Beans, a 28 year old drug addict Tom, A 5 year old named Ricky, a 43 year old chemist named Sebastian, and a 23 year old stripper named Tonya, the list goes on and on, just glad she's Laney today). "So Reggie, Ross guess what"? (Laney says as she starts twirling her red hair) "Yea" (I respond grabbing my food from the line, French toast with syrup on it, my favorite) "Happy Birthday" (She hands us two small packages with a bows on it, I had forgotten myself when my birthday was to me turning 20 years old didnt matter)"Thank you Laney" (Ross Squealed), "Thank you Laney" (I say as well in a low, tone" (Laney then looks at both of us squealing excitedly) "We have a whole party planned for you two". "We, do you mean your "Other" people"? (I ask) "Well maybe if they behave, but the hospital faculty silly" (She says running her hands through my brown hair, then kisses both our cheeks then runs off down the hall, me and Ross sit down and try to enjoy our food, looking at the gifts, Ross instantly opening his to find its a cupcake with chocolate icing, Ross became excited scarfing the whole thing down) "Relax buddy we haven't eaten yet the last thing we need is both of us puking for you inhaling food" (I say) "Aren't you gonna open yours Reggie"? (Ross asks picking up the piece of French toast) "Not yet buddy ill wait" (I respond) "Suit yourself" (Ross giggles with glee, eating his food, finally I decide to open my gift its another cupcake and a small piece of paper inside, that reads a note: "Come to my room after dark and everyone is in bed we'll celebrate XOXO Tonya" (I smile sometimes being crazy or deformed has its perks) "Tonya wants to see me after dark Ross, so we cant tell anyone" (I whisper to him) "Sure thing buddy" (Ross says, its weird to have my brother come with me for a girl but she's crazy and I'm a conjoined twin so its not like I have options, after we are done eating we get up to throw our garbage away, when I see a newspaper on the floor, I pick it up) "What you reading Reg"? (Ross intrudes) "Nothing Ross" (I say throwing the paper in the trash, but on the front page of that newspaper was an idea, an idea that would fester and boil in my head until I tried it, it was an idea on how to separate me from Ross...
(In the mind of Ross Winhelm separate from his brother.) "He hates us so our life means absolutely nothing to him, a desperate fool toward the end of his rope willing to try anything, he's hiding something I know it, well find out soon Reginald won't we". "I'll let you keep your secrets for now it's better if you think your secrets are safe".
