The small group of 5 are running as fast as they greedily can, after a dozen or so seconds the group stop abruptly after a wave of ground starts shaking the earth.
"what is going on!?" Asks one of the members.
Awkwardly smiling the boss mentions.
"That was, the thing we stole this precious thing from, or the lesser of it.."
"From.. sir...?"
Nodding.
"Yes, it's from a now almost extinct Apex species called Vokrin, they evolve and adapt easily and are among the deadliest of the species in this zone... Among them their Apex is now long dead, humans killed it and the majority of it's species. Now only the lesser of it's kind remain. It's thing, we have here is exceptionally rare, it's something that species puts a lot of time into cultivating, doing so yields great reward for the little thing and the pack as long as it's fed dea-"
A second more and a devastating wave hits the group and a split second later they hear the most abysmal mind numbing bellowing screech they have ever heard, it sounds like metal grinding metal and flesh hitting flesh.
As it echo's through the ears of the group as they cower in fear from hearing something so ancient and wanting. Slowly looking at each other while recovering from the screech a group member shouts.
"WHAT WAS THAT!?"
The leader, now thrown into utter horror shown on his face blurts out.
"That's not possible..."
"It's— still alive...!?"
"Ow god's... no...."
Still in shocked horror the leader of the group starts to gain momentum almost tripping on the way and starts to sprint in the direction of their goal, the other's follow suit in shocked and questionable panic.
One catching up almost a couple of seconds later asks.
"Boss what's going on? What was that?! why are you sprinting so damn fast all of a sudden?!"
Still sprinting in scared horror the the leader of the group murmurs loudishly.
"Not me.. Not now.. NOT EVER!!!"
