Inside a cramped room, a small girl no more than 6 year old laid on the bed, her breaths coming a bit heavier than usual. Suddenly, her eyes snapped open, taking in her surroundings.
"W-What the hell is this? Uh... where am I?" Everything felt... really unfamiliar. The ceiling was too low, the bed too hard, and the air smelled faintly, like porridge and dust.
She bolted upright, flinching at the rough blanket beneath her fingers. Her small hands fumbled, gripping the fabric. She looked around the room. Nope. This is not her room... definitely not her room.
Her hands trembled uncontrollably as she raised them, staring at her tiny fingers. Why... why are my hands so small?
She wiggled them frantically. Her legs shook beneath her, barely reaching the edge of the bed. Where... where are Mom and Dad? And what is all this nonsense?
She pressed her palms to her chest, a dull ache reminding her of last night. "I remember I had a pain in my chest and then I... I blacked out."
Her voice cracked as a horrifying thought struck her,"Di-Did I... did I die?" Panic clawed at her throat, her heartbeat hammering as she rocked slightly on the bed, unsure whether to stay, run, or scream, or just curl up and hope someone-anyone- would explain why life had suddenly gone full-on absurd.
"No, no, no," she whispered, breath getting uneven. "This is not funny."
Then, a sudden, sharp jab of pain struck her head like a jackhammer inside her skull. She groaned, holding her head. "Aaah... What the heck?!"
Images started flooding in her mind of a little girl, the orphanage walls, a metallic headband, some strange faces carved into a distant mountain-memories that weren't hers yet somehow were?
"Oh god... this can't be real." her stomach sank as a shiver ran down her spine."I... I'm in a kid? An orphan? And wait- that's Leaf emblem and the Hokage mountain... this is K-Konoha!"
She gasped, covering her mouth with her trembling hands. "I-It... it's the Naruto world?!"
