The Nine-tailed Fox was almost entirely covered in fluffy fur, especially its nine tails. Every single one was incredibly plush.
Jiang Zheyu looked at the Nine-tailed Fox, which was as tall as she was. She recalled how Yin Ji the big tiger had been able to shrink down—though only to the size of a large dog. 'I wonder if he can get even smaller?' she thought.
"Zexun, can you try shrinking?" Jiang Zheyu asked tentatively.
The Nine-tailed Fox looked at her with its red eyes, blinking gently. Its gaze was tender yet intense.
But…
…it didn't move. It couldn't understand what she was saying.
Seeing Jiang Zheyu standing still, the Nine-tailed Fox affectionately moved its head closer to nuzzle her cheek.
But that wasn't what Jiang Zheyu meant; she hadn't wanted it to nuzzle her.
"Zexun, shrink! Get smaller!" Jiang Zheyu said, starting to gesture wildly. She spread her hands far apart and then brought them close together, trying to convey the idea of going from big to small.
