Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: The Silent Witness of Sector 7

The file Vikram had received from Sameer felt heavy in his hands. He left Riya and his daughter Anya at home and set off alone towards the old 'Sector 7', where Aryan's father had changed his identity 15 years ago. It was an old, dilapidated warehouse, where old posters and a thick layer of dust still covered the walls.

The Hidden Recording

Inside the warehouse was an old locker mentioned in Sameer's file. Vikram opened the locker and found an old micro-cassette. He inserted it into his portable player and played it.

Voice: The cassette contained Aryan's father's voice. "I know Vikram's father (Mr. Oberoi) is being framed. He is innocent. I am leaving this recording so that if something happens to me, someone will know the truth."

The Sacrifice: The recording revealed that Aryan's father had given the testimony to distract the real criminals and save Vikram's father from going to jail. He spent his entire life like a "glitch" so that other families could live in peace.

Vikram sat down on the ground. Tears welled up in his eyes. The man he had always considered his enemy was his family's greatest protector.

The Encounter in the Shadows

Just then, a shadow appeared at the warehouse door. It wasn't a new enemy, but Mr. Khanna—the retired police officer who had helped Aryan's father.

"I knew you'd come here one day, Vikram," Khanna said softly. "Aryan's father made me promise to tell you the truth only when you were old enough to find it out yourself."

Khanna recounted how Aryan (Golu) would spend his childhood in the library not just drawing sketches, but also trying to fulfill his father's long-suppressed dreams. Aryan's 'black diary' wasn't just a notebook; it was a map to his path to justice.

The Connection: Riya's Role (Riya's Real Relationship)

Upon returning, Vikram spoke to Riya. Riya revealed another shocking truth. "Vikram, I'm not just Aryan's childhood friend. My father was the same lawyer who fought your and Aryan's father's cases. Our 'Red String' has been connected since before we even knew what it meant."

Vikram realized that "The Red String Glitch" wasn't a coincidence. It was a centuries-old promise that connected every family.

A New Mission: The Final Exhibition (Aakhri Nishan)

Vikram decided to name his next photography exhibition "The Heroes of the Glitch." He would tell the world how Aryan's father saved the lives of others even after losing his own identity.

He sent a message to Aryan: "Golu, I've found out the truth. Thank you for saving my father. Now it's my turn to prove your father a 'hero' to the world."

The Eternal Promise (Ek Amar Wada)

Aryan's reply came: "The thread of friendship is now complete, Vikram. Our 'Day 1' is now in your hands."

Vikram picked up his camera and took a photo of the warehouse wall where Aryan had made a small scar as a child. He wrote below: "The Truth doesn't glitch; it only waits to be found."
