"Don't tell me you're thinking of using those children to find a way back into Santiago's good graces. Santiago does not play games when it comes to those children. If you interfere with them or try to use them against him, you will create an even bigger problem for this family. And if you make matters worse, you may find yourself standing beside Elena."
Valeria's lips parted, but Rodrigo had already turned away. He walked toward the opposite side of the room, leaving her sitting in silence.
For several moments, Valeria remained where she was, staring toward the staircase where Marcos had disappeared.
