Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: We'll definitely collaborate after this

She yawned wearily and walked towards the door: "What time does filming start tomorrow?"

"Eight o'clock, but you have to get up at six to get your hair and makeup done," Xue Ming'an said. "The scenes before the wrap are a bit heavy, and since you already have the most scenes, we might be filming until the early hours of the morning tomorrow."

Su Xia opened the door to the dressing room and turned back listlessly: "So, can I eat more for my midnight snack tonight to replenish my energy? Ugh!"

She was so busy bargaining with Xue Ming'an that she didn't see or have time to avoid the people walking in from the blind spot outside the door.

Su Xia's face bumped into one of the people's arms, the hard surface hitting her nose, and tears immediately welled up in her eyes.

She gasped and stepped back, her eyes blurry with tears as she covered her nose and looked over. She only felt that the person seemed to frown slightly, and then a magnetic and deep voice, like a gentle breeze, struck Su Xia's eardrums: "Sorry."

  "..."

Su Xia's breath caught in her throat.

This person's voice sounded like her idol's.

She carefully wiped away her tears and looked up in disbelief.

She met a pair of eyes that seemed to hold the vastness of the Milky Way, dark and deep, filled with aloofness. He frowned, his expression cold and indifferent as he looked at her.

  "Are you alright?"

  It was Lu Jingyao.

Su Xia's heart leaped into her throat, pounding as if it would jump out of her chest.

This was completely different from her usual autograph sessions and concerts; she wasn't hiding herself. She was truly facing him face-to-face, using her own identity.

Lu Jingyao's manager, Xu Si, strode over, adding apologetically, "I'm sorry, how is Su Xia?"

Even though their teams hadn't met before, as two top-tier celebrities with extremely high media attention, he naturally knew about them.

He looked at Xue Ming'an: "Is there anything we can do?"

Su Xia snapped out of her daze and quickly waved her hand: "I'm fine, I'm fine."

She took a deep breath, jokingly adding, "I'm not that delicate, I don't break easily."

Xue Ming'an chimed in, "Yes, it's alright. We just bumped into you when we suddenly opened the door."

  Su Xia looked up.

Lu Jingyao was very tall, blocking the light from one side. She only reached his chest, the shadow enveloping her. She could only see his dark, inky eyes.

She had seen him many times, but this time her feelings were a little strange.

She didn't need to hide; she could appear before Lu Jingyao as she truly was.

  But inexplicably, she felt...naked.

It was more reassuring to wear a little veil.

Xu Si said, "We have to go now. If fate allows, we'll meet again in the future."

Xue Ming'an smiled politely, "Okay, we'll definitely work together in the future."

The two agents exchanged pleasantries, putting on a very good show.

Lu Jingyao lowered his eyes and nodded slightly to Su Xia. His sharply defined features exuded a cold and aloof air. "Goodbye."

Su Xia almost choked on her breath. She blinked, her eyebrows curving into a sweet smile, like a ripe peach. "Goodbye."

She paused, then softly called out, "Lu Jingyao."

  —

On the way back, Xue Ming'an was still amazed by Su Xia's smile.

Xiao Yi, resting her chin on her hand, watched, puzzled.

"She really is different in front of the person she likes."
