Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: See You on the Blacklist

The wrap party that evening was attended by all the actors. After three or four months of working together day and night, the sudden separation to embark on new journeys filled everyone with reluctance.

Plus, everyone was easygoing and the collaboration was pleasant, so before they knew it, they had drunk a bit too much.

Even so, Su Xia was still soberly thinking about the book signing the next day. She put down her glass, chatted with everyone for a while, and then left.

The company rented her an apartment in the most bustling area of downtown Beijing. She had only moved there less than six months ago. She had originally planned to buy a house, but in recent years she had been busy with work and hadn't decided which city to live in, so she had been renting.

Wenxing Yayuan is a high-end residential area with strict management. The residents were either celebrities or successful entrepreneurs. The environment was quiet and peaceful, with one apartment per floor, ensuring a high degree of privacy.

Su Xia had just gotten out of the van when she received a WeChat message from Han Yue: "Are you home yet? Come over for hot pot."

She followed Xiao Yi into the elevator: "No, I have things to do tomorrow, and eating hot pot this late will give me pimples."

Han Yue: "I'm not afraid of my schedule tomorrow, what are you afraid of?"

Su Xia didn't argue: "Lu Jingyao's autograph session tomorrow."

It took a long time for the other side to reply.

  "Oh, okay, I got it."

This obviously resentful tone made Su Xia slightly curl her lips: "Tomorrow night is fine, I'll bring my own food."

"If I don't see you when I get back from my schedule tomorrow, I'll be on your blacklist!"

Su Xia was used to this threatening statement. She changed into slippers and turned to Xiao Yi, saying softly: "It's so late, go home now, you've worked so hard, get some rest tomorrow."

Xiao Yi put her suitcase in the living room and waved to Su Xia with a smile: "See you the day after tomorrow, Sister Xia!"

Su Xia nodded with a faint smile.

The door closed with a click, and the large house fell silent.

A cleaning lady regularly cleaned the house, and knowing she was coming back, she had lit aromatherapy in advance, filling the entire house with her favorite scent.

After washing up and applying skincare products, Su Xia lay back down on the bed and fell into a deep sleep.

The autograph session wasn't far from Su Xia's home, and she arrived precisely on time, quietly joining the last member of the long queue. She deliberately pulled her hat brim down, lowered her head, and pulled her mask up as well.

The early autumn air was slightly chilly, and she wore a denim jacket over her white floral dress, a light-colored ensemble. Her smooth, black hair, slightly curled, cascaded down her cheeks, making her look youthful and demure.

Su Xia listened silently to the enthusiastic chatter of the fans in front of her, whether they were meeting for the first time or not. She glanced slightly at the front of the queue, but the girl in front of her suddenly turned around, and their eyes met.

An awkward silence immediately filled the air.

She quickly lowered her head, her heart pounding.

The line was moving forward in an orderly fashion when Su Xia heard the girl in front of her speak in a clear, crisp voice: "Is this your first time at a book signing?"

She gripped her bag strap tightly and shook her head: "No, I've been many times."

"Oh," the girl looked her over carefully, then suddenly said, "I think I know you!"

Su Xia's heart tightened, and sweat almost broke out on her forehead.
