Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: It Has Nothing to Do With Me

Lu Jingyao has been in the industry for nine years and is 27 years old this year. Xiao Yi paused, "Then did Sister Xia enter the entertainment industry for Lu Jingyao?"

Xue Ming'an shook his head, "I've never heard her say that."

Outside, the spotlights shone brightly amidst the crazy screams. Standing in the center of the huge stage, Su Xia was bathed in dazzling light, which reflected on her star-studded long dress, making her look like she was standing in a galaxy, like countless stars, unattainable.

After the song ended, Su Xia lifted her long dress and returned to the backstage. Her eyes were sparkling, as if they held countless stars. Her red lips were slightly curved, and her expression was lazy. Her beautiful appearance made the staff who had just arrived around her momentarily lose their minds.

Xue Ming'an was already used to it: "Go back to the lounge to touch up your makeup, then sit in the guest seats downstairs for a while, and then prepare for the final chorus."

Su Xia nodded, took the water Xiao Yi handed her and took a small sip. Xue Ming'an opened the door to the lounge, and the atmosphere inside was obviously much more enthusiastic than before, with a feeling of budding romance wafting over.

She slowly raised her eyes, looking at Gu Yu sitting in her chair, talking to the makeup artist. She spoke calmly, as if it were nothing out of the ordinary: "Excuse me, don't you have your own dressing room?"

The makeup artist blushed and shyly hid in a corner. Gu Yu leaned back lazily in his chair, legs crossed, and said leisurely, "I came to deliver a secret intelligence to you, and this is how you treat me?"

"I don't care about your secret intelligence," Su Xia said expressionlessly, walking up to him and kicking his leg with her high heels. "But if you ever say anything thoughtless to my staff again, you'll face the consequences."

Gu Yu gave her an OK sign and stood up to make room for her, his expression a half-smile: "But are you sure you don't want to hear this intelligence?"

He put his hands in his pockets and tilted his head: "You might regret it."

Su Xia's red lips curved slightly, her beautiful and alluring face instantly radiating an irresistible glow. She opened her mouth and calmly uttered a single word: "Get lost."

Xue Ming'an gestured for Xiao Yi to go about her business, and amidst the passing gazes, calmly closed the door.

Gu Yu rubbed his nose and shrugged. "We've been friends for so many years, are you really not going to give me any face at all?"

Su Xia glanced at him. "If you have any shame, I'll give you some."

"Then I don't care about face." Gu Yu turned and sat on the sofa, unbuttoning two buttons of his suit jacket, revealing a hint of his collarbone, adding a touch of sexiness. "For the sake of our years of friendship, I'll tell you."

"I heard that Lu Jingyao came here."

Su Xia's nonchalant demeanor visibly paused, but only for a moment, before she smiled amicably and innocently. "Oh, what does that have to do with me?"

She turned her gaze back to the mirror. "So what if he comes? It has nothing to do with me."

Her nonchalant tone surprised Gu Yu, who raised an eyebrow slightly. He thought for a moment and suddenly smiled. "I see."

"Looks like I was being nosy. You always keep your work and personal life separate, so you definitely can't be chasing after celebrities during work hours," he said, annoyed. "Never mind, I'm going to prepare for the show!"

Su Xia remained expressionless: "Okay, good that you know. Go on."

The door closed with a click, and other staff members from the organizers left with Gu Yu. Xue Ming'an walked quietly to her side: "Should I go and find out?"
