Arman stood quietly.
"The key?" he asked.
The boy nodded slowly.
"Yes. The house is alive. And you are the lock."
The girl with empty eyes suddenly spoke,
"If you open the door, the seal will break forever."
The black blood on the floor started moving toward Arman.
Slowly.
Like hungry animals.
The woman's voice screamed from the darkness,
"Stop him!"
The boy raised his hand.
The black blood stopped moving.
Arman asked,
"If I am the key, what happens if I leave?"
The boy's smile disappeared.
"Then something older than the house will wake up."
The basement started shaking violently.
Dust fell from the ceiling.
The metal door behind Arman began to melt slowly like burning iron.
