Chapter 11 - seraphis counsel

Kael had barely steadied himself after crossing the rift when a figure emerged from the swirling void. Tall, cloaked in shadows and light, Seraphis drifted toward him as though walking on invisible air. His presence radiated authority, ancient power, and danger all at once.

"You are more than a mortal, Kael," Seraphis said, his voice resonating like thunder beneath a calm sky. "The myths you dismissed… they are real. The tech you thought was ultimate… it is merely a tool, a shadow of what exists beyond your world. And now, the balance is breaking."

Kael's pulse raced. "Balance? Breaking? I don't understand." His hand twitched, still glowing faintly from the energy of the rift.

Seraphis studied him with violet-silver eyes. "You are awake to forces older than your species. Forces that mortals were never meant to see. You may bridge the realms, mortal and divine, but with great power comes the choice: to protect, to dominate, or to be consumed."

Kael swallowed, trying to make sense of it all. The key, the anomaly, Eloi, the visions—they were all pieces of a puzzle, and now Seraphis was a living part of it. The god's gaze bore into him, compelling him to confront his own fears.

"The Technoverse and the Celestial Realm are stirring. Mortals are pawns in a game they cannot comprehend. If you hesitate, chaos will spread, and not even your city, not even your planet, will remain safe." Seraphis extended a hand. "I offer guidance. But the choice… the action… that is yours alone."

Kael took a deep breath. Fear churned in his stomach, but a spark of determination ignited in his chest. He had always solved problems—now, for the first time, the stakes were infinite.
