The commercial district was a war zone. Two groups of survivors were fighting a horde of creatures, their screams and gunshots echoing through the streets. Jiang Yuan and Li Na watched from a rooftop, horrified.

Jiang Yuan helped Li Na down from the rooftop, and they slipped into the subway. The tunnels were dark and damp, the air thick with the smell of mildew and rot. Jiang Yuan used his phone's light to guide the way, his Danger Prediction alerting him to the creatures lurking in the shadows.
They moved quickly, avoiding a nest of rat-like creatures and a flooded section of track. When they emerged from the subway, the conflict in the commercial district was over. The survivors were gone, and the horde had moved on.

Jiang Yuan found a gas mask in a nearby pharmacy, and gave it to Li Na. He used a t-shirt to cover his own mouth and nose. "Stay close," he said. "This could get bad."
