Vegeta slowly rose from the smoke and dust like a ghost crawling back from Hell.
His Battle Suit was already torn apart, revealing skin covered in scorch marks and blood.
His left arm was twisted at an unnatural angle, the result of being shattered by Goku's Kaioken-enhanced Kamehameha.
Yet the expression on his face was fiercer than ever.
Extreme rage mixed with twisted excitement filled his eyes.
"Unforgivable... absolutely unforgivable!"
Vegeta breathed heavily as he stared at Goku on the ground. The veins in his bloodshot eyes looked ready to burst.
"Kakarot! You low-class warrior! To think you pushed me this far! I'll show you the true power of a Saiyan! It's a terror you Earthlings will never understand!"
On the ground, Goku forced himself into a defensive stance despite the intense pain in his body.
Using Kaioken x4 earlier had nearly drained all his stamina. Even standing was difficult now.
"He's still going to fight..." Goku wiped sweat from his forehead, but his eyes remained bright.
"This guy's endurance is unbelievable."
Behind a nearby rock, Trunks finished the last piece of chocolate and spoke unclearly.
"Dad, that weird uncle looks like he's gone crazy. He's talking to the sky."
Krillin brushed sunflower seed shells from his hands and narrowed his eyes slightly.
On the System panel, Vegeta's data began fluctuating strangely.
Although his combat power had not increased yet, the "Racial Traits" column flashed with a dangerous red warning.
"Trunks, whatever happens next, don't be surprised," Krillin placed a hand on his son's head, his tone suddenly serious.
"And cover Gohan's eyes. Don't let him look at the sky."
"Huh?" Trunks blinked in confusion but still followed instructions.
He used Instant Transmission to appear behind the confused Gohan and covered his eyes with both hands.
"Trunks? What are you doing?" Gohan asked.
"Don't move. My dad said so. If you don't want to go blind, stay still," Trunks said seriously.
In the sky, Vegeta suddenly laughed strangely.
"Kakarot, do you know why Saiyans are called the strongest warrior race? It's not just because our power increases after recovering from near death.
It's because we possess a transformation ability unique in this universe!" Vegeta pointed toward the sky.
"On this tiny planet Earth, Blutz Waves are normally produced only during a full moon. Unfortunately, I heard your moon has already been destroyed."
Vegeta sneered, "But that doesn't matter. For an elite warrior like me, something like that can be created anytime!"
"What is he talking about?"
"Blutz Waves? What kind of term is that?" Yamcha asked in confusion from a distance.
Piccolo's expression suddenly changed. His inherited Namekian memories made him recall something important.
"This is bad! Stop him quickly! That's—"
Too late.
Vegeta raised his remaining right hand and condensed a bright white energy sphere in his palm.
It was not a normal energy attack. It released strange fluctuations as if compressing particles from the atmosphere.
"This is the Artificial Full Moon!" Vegeta threw the sphere high into the sky.
The sphere exploded high above the atmosphere but did not create a destructive blast.
Instead, it reacted with the atmosphere and transformed into a massive artificial full moon hanging in the sky.
Its silver-white light covered the entire ruins of East City.
[System Warning: High concentration of Blutz Waves detected (exceeding 1.7 million Zeno units).]
[Warning: Target Vegeta is undergoing violent genetic mutation.]
Krillin watched the flashing warnings calmly.
"So it's finally happening. Great Ape transformation."
In the sky, Vegeta's body began shaking violently.
"Aaaah...!"
His heartbeat echoed like a war drum across the battlefield.
His body expanded rapidly.
Muscles stretched violently.
Brown-black fur burst from his pores and covered his body.
His face changed shape.
His mouth extended into a massive jaw filled with sharp fangs.
His hair disappeared and was replaced by thick wild fur.
Within seconds, the Saiyan prince vanished.
In his place stood a terrifying Great Ape over fifty meters tall.
"Roar!"
The roar created a shockwave that tore up the ground for kilometers around him.
[Target Updated: Vegeta (Great Ape Form)]
[Combat power: 180,000]
[Status: Sanity retained (elite-level control), extremely bloodthirsty]
One hundred and eighty thousand.
The moment this number appeared, everyone except Krillin turned pale.
"Wha... what kind of monster is this?!" Tien Shinhan said as all three of his eyes widened in shock.
Facing this overwhelming energy, they felt like ants in a storm.
"His energy increased ten times?" Goku said in disbelief.
Even breathing felt difficult under the pressure.
"So this is the true form of a Saiyan!"
The Great Ape slowly lowered its massive head.
Its crimson eyes locked onto Goku.
Even in this form, Vegeta's intelligence and cruelty remained clear.
"Hehehe... Hahahaha!" The Great Ape spoke with a voice like thunder.
"Well, Kakarot? My combat power is now one hundred and eighty thousand. This is overwhelming strength! Compared to this body, your Kaioken is nothing but a child's trick!"
Vegeta casually stomped his enormous foot onto the ground.
Boom!
The earth split apart as a massive crack spread toward Goku.
"It's over... it's all over..." Yamcha said as he collapsed to the ground.
"Against a monster like this, there's no way to win. One hundred and eighty thousand combat power... even a god couldn't handle that."
Piccolo clenched his fists so tightly his nails dug into his palms.
"Damn it! Is this the power of the strongest warrior race in the universe? This transformation is ridiculous!"
Just then, Trunks pushed Krillin's hand aside and peeked out from behind the rock.
"Wow, Dad! Look! Such a huge monkey!"
He pointed at Vegeta excitedly.
"If we catch it and bring it home, do you think Mom would let us open a zoo in the backyard? But it doesn't look very clean. It has too much hair."
Gohan struggled anxiously.
"Trunks! What's happening? Why did the energy suddenly become so terrifying? Let me see!"
"Nope. Dad said you can't look," Trunks replied seriously.
Krillin looked up at the massive Great Ape while calmly reading the System panel.
"One hundred and eighty thousand..." He cracked his neck.
"His explosive attacks might increase further, but it's still within a controllable range."
At that moment, Great Ape Vegeta noticed the movement behind the rock.
His massive head turned.
His crimson gaze locked onto Krillin.
"Oh? That bald guy is still there," Vegeta's voice was full of mockery.
"Don't worry. After I crush Kakarot, you're next. I'll grind you into paste and offer you as a sacrifice for Nappa!"
Vegeta reached down, grabbed a nearby mountain peak, and threw it toward Goku like a stone.
"Die, Kakarot!"
Goku barely activated Kaioken and turned into a red flash to dodge the attack.
The mountain exploded into dust where he had been standing moments earlier.
The shockwave blasted him hundreds of meters away.
"So fast... his size increased, but his speed didn't slow down at all?"
Goku rolled across the ground before finally stopping.
He gasped for breath as a deep sense of pressure filled his chest.
This was no longer a battle.
This was a one-sided fight.
