Chapter 1 - Transmigrated Into A Broken Body

Outside a huge golden villa, which had stood proud and magnificent for two whole decades, housed the most feared man in the world. But now… this great and magnificent villa was in ruins.

In front of the villa, on the plush green field—now churned into mud and craters due to countless explosions and weapon cards—death reigned. Countless corpses, both male and female, were scattered all over the place. Lying amidst these broken bodies was the one known by the world as a demon. The most ruthless and feared man in history: the Evil Emperor.

He lay on the ground. There wasn't a bit of anger, sadness, or confusion on his face. Instead, there was a smile—a small, pleased smile.

Of course, he was clearly betrayed by his subordinates and men, but who cares about that when he was lying in his own pool of blood? All that meant nothing at the moment. All that mattered were the stars in the night sky, and the smile on his face.

"Finally, I can rest and leave all this behind me," he smirked, blood flowing from his lips and rolling down his cheek.

The sounds of battle were fading, replaced by the crackle of fire.

"At least I will leave my legacy behind, a name that will never be forgotten… Cough! I did good." He stared at the sky, listening to the distant screams of the dying.

"Humans are useless beings… Weak and foolish. If there is a next life, I don't want to be a human. Even if I am a cockroach, I will be happy."

"Good mindset, my child."

A voice sounded all over the place, vibrating through the very air, as two beautiful, colossal eyes appeared in the sky, staring down at him with ancient amusement.

"Humans are pathetic and foolish creatures. Do you want to become something more, something more than mere humans?" The voice sounded again, reaching deep into his ears.

The man was confused, his vision blurring, but he nodded his head at the eyes. Anything was better than returning to the treachery of humanity.

"Good decision, my child. You will start your new journey today. Don't worry, I will give you a guide."

A red pillar of light dropped from the sky. It smashed into him, encompassing his form, turning his body into ashes and completely erasing him from the world known as Earth.

"Please love, we can't bear to lose you."

Hearing the grief-filled voice, he slowly opened his eyes. The first thing that welcomed him was a rough, wooden ceiling, smelling of old timber and herbs. He blinked, his mind groggy, and moved his head to the side.

What came to view were two huge boobs, both H-cups, heaving with heavy breaths. He blinked again at the magnificent sight, then raised his eyes to the owner. A fair, beautiful woman with red hair sat by his side, crying, her palms covering her face.

In his previous life, he had seen a lot of beauties, but the lady before him, even with face covered, murdered them all in beauty. Furthermore, there was something distinct about her—two backward-curved red horns protruding from her head.

"The horns kind of look cute," he muttered in a low, raspy voice.

Hearing his voice, the middle-aged woman quickly removed her hands from her face. She stared at him in disbelief, her red eyes wide; she blinked, still shocked, as if seeing a ghost.

They stared at one another for some seconds, none uttering a word. The air in the room was thick with unspoken emotion. After what felt like an eternity, the woman slowly reached out her hand and touched his trembling fingers.

"Husband?" she muttered in a low voice, as fresh tears poured down her cheeks.

'Huh?!! Did this big-boobs beauty just call me Husband?!!'

He was dumbfounded. He looked at her closely. Although she tried to hide it, he knew she was exhausted; there were dark circles under her eyes, suggesting she hadn't slept in days.

"You… You are finally awake. The people and I were so scared." She wiped the tears off her face, trying to compose herself.

He stared at her red eyes, then at her normal red nails. 'Is she a demon or a beast woman? Well, it seems all the web novels I read came in handy.' he thought, his tactical mind already analyzing the situation.

Seeing he had been silent from the start, the lady instantly became worried.

"What is it, Husband? Why do you look so confused?"

'Of course, I am confused! Who won't be?!' he screamed internally:

'Suddenly appearing in a room made of wood, seeing a heaven Beauty who called you husband. And knowing she had been crying for a while… And she also said 'people'? Am I someone important in this world?'

"Um… Do you want me to get you something? Water perhaps?" she asked with a worried expression, leaning closer.

He gave her a small smile, trying to reassure her, and tried his best to sit up. But his muscles refused to obey:

'What the—?! Why am I so weak?!!'

Noticing his struggle, the beauty quickly stood up and gently helped him rise. He sat up with her help, his body feeling like lead, and looked around the room again.

The whole room was modest, portraying a life of simplicity or perhaps poverty. It was only eight meters long and six meters wide. The bed was placed at the north side, the door at the south, and the only window at the west, letting in the dim light of dusk. The only things in the room were the bed he was on, a simple desk, two chairs, and one full-body mirror standing in the corner.

Before he could ask anything, a mechanical, cold voice sounded in his mind, overlaying reality.

{Prepare Yourself Host.}

{Memories will merge together in ten seconds.}

'Wait, what?!!' He was dumbfounded, was the guide given to him a System.
