Often at times, we all think that it starts with a bang, a loud sound ringing and deafening. But for him, it started quit in the most unexpected manner possible. A single moment, calm and peaceful. It did not scream, it did not shout, it simply called out to him, lulling him to sleep and embrace the warmth that lay before him. A familiar figure. A woman, bathed in all heavenly beauty that could be manifested on earth. He had a longing for her, as if he knew her from before. He wanted to open his mouth and speak, buth the woman extended her arm, as if offering him help. He simply stated blankly at her as the setting sun silhouetted her shining smile, giving in and letting the warmth take control.
"Mother, when did you come back?"
"Sleep now. Don't ask questions. I missed you too"
Then, he slept. A final sleep from which he would observe the world from the third persons viewpoint for the next...
The same thing happened again. Lately, he had been getting no sleep, afraid that the recurrent nightmare might actualize and force him into a permanent state of insanity. He went over to the bathroom, eyes lingering with wear, heavy bags not giving way. He stared at himself in the mirror only to discover that he was no different from the zombies he had been seeing in the movies.
Well, zombie or not, he still had to go to school. The society didn't care whether insomnia plagued a small fry like him either way. With the current state of events, all he could do was immerse himself in his studies to dull the effects of his trauma-not that he was any good at it either.
