The pitch black room greeted him again.
He stretched as far as he could, thanks to that restraining cloth called straight jacket, the only thing he could do is struggle.
They said that to him many years ago and he believed them. But surely they were wrong, because today he wasn't just going to get his hands free, he was about to be free.
'I've been existing for about 15 years, that's what she told me, and once I'm out I'll start living 1 year'.
That lone thought traversed his head as he looked at the straight jacket.
In the pitch black room supposedly he wouldn't be able to see,but taking in account how accostumed he got his body,he learned that the further he expanded his pupils the more he could see, thus why he's even able to tell he's in a room.
He breathed heavily as he prepared himself, the moment he has been preparing for years was actually going to happen.
Any other escape attempt he did was only made to understand how he would be thrown here again.
He stood up as his chest went through the straight jacket and then he easily slipped his body off the belts.
He stretched his body up feeling his frail body tense by it, then he removed the pants he was wearing, that would make easier the next step by a lot.
And then he looked to his front,a metal door made entirely of different layers, this would be enough to stop any brute force, but there was the clear mistake that it was just one metal.
That made it easier to understand and layer out his power and traverse through.
He could essentially pass through it using strage methods they didn't about when locking him up for the 5th time.
He touched the metal door and started passing through it,his body bending it out in a shape where he was passing easily.
'Iron is so easy to bypass and yet they thought so clever when they used it...' He thought as his body passed through the door.
As he got out his eyes instantly ached as the bright white lights hit him,but he didn't flinch at all as his pupils closed.
"AY HIJO DE SU PUTA MADRE!" A loud voice was heard among the room ad he heard two pair of boots closing by.
"CABRON EL NIÑO SE SALIO!" He heard again the foreign words as two armed men in guard suits closed by,their weapons pointed at him.
He took a step foward and dashed between them, and as he pased by they shooted him down with enough bullets to make an elephant fall flat to the ground,of course he never knew what an elephant was.
His body fell to the cold floor, blood scattering all over the place.
"He ain't healing mano..." One of the man whispered while letting go of his rifle and taking a special smaller gun.
"Lo matamos...?" The other said while closing to the kid, which was making the effort of holding back his power to heal himself.
The man took him to his chest where he carried him.
"Call the patron..." He said as he kept the kid to himself to his chest, the other still pointing at the kid with his tranquilizer gun.
"Yeah yeah..." The other said as he put his fingers next to his ear.
He started whispering words, and in seconds a loud thud was heard once the facility door was open.
10 men heavily armed rushed and looked at the guard holding the kid.
Suddenly the rifle and a uniform enough to stop rifle bullets felt tiny.
They all pointed rifles with tranquilizer to put 20 elephants to sleep, that's what the scientist said when he was using it for the first time.
But that was a mistake.
The kid opened his eyes as the bullets inside of him pushed out flying of his body, like a live granade as the guard died just by it.
"FIRE!" One of the armed men yelled as the 10 men shoot at him simultaneously with multiple tranquilizer shots.
'Always feeling dizzy over this...' The teenager thought as he wss about to fall again to the ground, but he used his power quickly enough to neutralize the tranquilizer inside his body.
And rushed out of the facility by the open door.
He passed over many armed men, each using different methods to stop him, each one useless as his other escape attempts and experiments he was undergone were used to understand and adapt to them.
Doesn't matter what they tried they couldn't stop him.
At the end, everyone inside the underground place was dead.
It didn't matter if they were there just by order,by choice or even if they were the ones that tried so many times to kill him,he couldn't let anyone alive.
And he was fair,he thought and knew he was, because everyone there was a piece of his torture,of his demise and the reason why she freed herself of life that time.
Because of that,he didn't hesitate.
3 hours passed
He kept the same space as when he started the massacre, once a level was cleared he rushed up and kept on,he did this enough that his body was covered completely of blood.
Blood over blood as more fair killings happened.
He to walked to the exit of the level, heading to the neverending stairs, this time he watched the sign of the door.
"Parking lot..." He said the foreign words as he opened the door, watching a long road of sturdy looking machine things in wheels, and in the distance what was a different kind of light.
He looked back at the stair and watched how they ended here, only bringing a satisfied look to his face as he closed the door.
He watched the machines all lined up side to side, leaving space for each one to pass yo the front if they moved.
"Must be what they used to come here..."
He thought as he tried opening one,the door not moving a single inch.
His body was weak, muscles were weak and everything about him looked like it,anyone would mistake him as a skeleton with skin wrapped over it in a failed attempt of necromancy.
His pale skin and blue eyes almost pristine, frail thin and shorter body, all of these things clearly a lack of sunlight.
He left the machine alone and walked to the entrance of the place,it was silent and devoid of human traces, obviously anyone who came rushed down to stop him, which would explain why all these machines are here.
He finally got to the entrance, and looked up,his eyes catching the ray of light that only meant one thing.
"Once you look up and there's a huge blue ceiling with a steaming star over you... I think that's when you can call yourself free..." He repeated what she said so many years ago, thinking how far only those words driven him.
"Project Cain..."
"I got to start thinking of an actual name,I would never let myself be named by them again..." He thought as he walked through the gate.
The sun finally hitting his entire body, the blood almost acting like sunscreen for his pale skin,no blood and he'd be red in ten seconds.
"Ahh..." He left a small breath as he looked around himself,a road of dirt in front of him, surrounded by trees that towered over him.
He felt a cold breeze over himself.
"Find Jericho..."
"A school for someone like you..." He repeated her words as he looked at the road.
Supposedly that's close by, she told him that when he was mature enough to remember.
He looked overhead and started walking,a long walk would be miserable for anyone, but the teenager couldn't hold his smile of content, everything around him was new, even though he hated the word new because it always meant a new way of trying to kill him, this time new was good.
"Change is good..." his voice said, the forest quiet, the brushing leaves making his only company.
2 days.
He has been walking for long, long enough that he watched what was called "night", it was beautiful to say the least.
But right now something that he couldn't how it happens was going to just start.
He watched how the sky was filled with those white things, just that these ones were a whole darker shade.
He didn't mind, but his power silently felt how his body was changed, the pressure lowering and the heat rising, then some time later these clouds came by.
Plick.
A small droplet of water fell into his hair, and then other one too.
He looked with amaze to the sky,and it started falling faster.
Water as small dropelts falling and falling while he stood there with a bright smile, the dry blood washing off him while he enjoyed the first time he got a bath in his life.
He kept walking, the water making the dirt road under him feel squishy and softer.
"So this is how water comes..." He said, his voice expressing how incredible the water cycle was to his eyes.
He kept walking as the water kept falling, his steady pace, not rushing even when he could run for hours without a stop.
He didn't want to feel pain while he escaped, even when it stopped bothering him a long ago,it still is like a buzzing noise that overwhelms the calm quietness.
After a time he finally saw what he wanted to see.
A green sign, and the words "Welcome to Elmore!" written on it, it looked like it has been through a lot.
Since it was almost about to fall off those two rods attached to the ground.
He started running with a happy smile on hid face, the pain of his frail body numbed by the joy of civilization.
He knew what it was,she told him about it a lot,how amazing other people are outside of that horrendous place and how she missed her closed ones.
The road seemed to end as he started going a hill,a big it seems since it started to go so up that he started to climb it with his hands.
And once he climbed it enough,he watched how the rows of trees stopped, just to showcase a beautiful sight.
What was under him was what she called nature and civilization combined.
A huge body of water was being pristine under the rain, and houses and roads all around it.
"Ah..."
"It's so beautiful..." He muttered, his voice clearly not finding a way out of his body as he just couldn't keep his mouth from hanging.
He jumped down the hill immediately, tall enough to be some hundreds of meters as he watched in awe the town nearby and then he fell flat to the ground.
So many broken bones that just healed in the span of some minutes.
He stood up and kept running, his joy for finding society still on him.
