Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - The secret hideout

"Hey Levan" Hielgar says looking down at him, "Are you fine man? you've been acting strange recently" Yea i'm fine Levan says staring into the ceiling. You sure you seem pretty stressed out right now, hey i know we should head to our secret hide out? "Fine I'm not even tired anyways" Levan says as he gets up from his bed. Hielgar and Levan sneak outside their house into the dark night hearing crickets, cracking sticks under their sandals, as the cold wind hits their skin, and finally they make it to the forest. Yea this is the reason we don't come back to our hide out anymore Hielgar says while staring deeply into the endless dark forest. Well we came this far if we go back grandpa will hear us and we'll be grounded, Levan says Well here goes nothing I guess as Levan and Hielgar enter into the forest. They walked for what felt like ages unknowing what was around them, and always feeling like they were being followed. "I have to be brave, I can't show any signs of weakness in front of my brother, okay calm down Hielgar just calm down" The bush starts shaking then something runs past them. Ahhh!! "Hielgar yells as he falls on his back", a deer appears in front of them "phew" Hielgar lets out. Levan falls onto his knees laughing at Hielgar, "There's no way you got scared by a deer!" Levan says laughing uncontrollably. I'm not scared, I just have good reflexes. You're the one that's scared! Hielgar exclaims while shaking after what happened. Levan walks ahead mocking and laughing, "see look at me I'm Hielgar a scaredy cat" look man stop being a cry baby, and get up there's only animals here "Levan says walking" and there's nothing to be afraid... of. Levan steps back unable to speak. What's wrong Levan why'd you stopped walking huh, Hielgar and Levan stand there frozen unable to speak or move. At that moment stood a 50 foot dragon. It has green skin like a lizard, its breath grew hotter, and its eyes filled with anger. Levan glances back at Hielgar holding up three fingers, Hielgar looks back slowly nodding his head. One finger lowers down, Hielgar knows what's about to go down. At the last finger they both bolt and make the run for it, without a second thought. The dragon lets out a loud roar which ruptures their ears. Spiky leaves hit their skins but they brush past it. Hielgar yells "we're going to die!" Get a hold of yourself, Hielgar were not going to die. Yes we are! We should have never snuck out. I'm so sorry it's all my fault! Listen thats not what matters right now we need to escape it quickly or else were dead meat. Follow my lead! Levan takes a sharp left turn as Hielgar follows, are you sure you know where were going? No but we need to lose it quickly. Uhh Levan I don't think your plan is working there dragon is still behind us! In a split second Levan spots a cave, quickly run towards the cave! They dart towards the entrance while the dragon follows behind just a couple meters away. At the last second they slide into the cave barely surviving the dragon, the dragon lunges its head trying to fit in the cave, it scratches the caves entrances breaking fragments of rocks, and roared causing echos throughout the cave. Hielgar and Levan look at the entrance stun, terrified, with scratches and brusies on their body from the branches and ripped up clothes. Both of them shaking uncontrobally too scared to move. The dragon loses interest and walks away, they wait until a few mintues pass by then finally Hielgar collapses on the cave wall letting out a sigh of relief, "Dude never again," Hielgar says while trying to catch his breath. "Yea I agree" Levan mutters laying on the cold ground.
