Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 - The Symbol

We walked through the darkness of the cave hearing only the thud of our footsteps and the sound of water splashing on the ground. I felt a bit nauseous after walking a while so we sat to take a break. "Hielgar it's been so long since we've been in the dark i've already gotten used to it", "Yeah, it's been a long time since we've been walking" Hielgar says as he sits down. "How much longer do you think it'll take until we find the exit the old guy said?" "I don't know but it's probably been an hour since we've walked." My stomach groaned "Man I'm so hungry it's been a while since we ate anything." "Yea same here." I laid down dreaming about hamburgers. "Hamburgers were my favorite thing to eat, the delicious buttery bun, the juicy patty in between, and paired with ketchup was the perfect meal." "Alright rest time is up, we have a long journey ahead of us." Hielgar says as he grabs my arm. "Fine, let's continue walking." I say as he pulls me up, we begin walking again but this time it's different. I began seeing distorted images in my head of the dragon, I jumped back in fear hitting myself against the rock wall. "Hey Levan! Are you okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine I just thought I felt something crawl on me. It's nothing, probably a spider." We continued walking the cave path, but I still felt sick to myself. I gripped my stomach while walking. Seeing the same images in my head but I push past it, as i'm holding Hielgar hand he stops walking for a second. "I think the walls are elevating. We might have to climb up." Hielgar says "Are you sure?" I asked "Unfortunately, yes it doesn't feel like a normal straight path. Stay here and I'm going to try to climb this." I reluctantly agreed and stayed down as Hielgar climbed the slope. I've been feeling colder and numb ever since we met the old man. "It's safe, I made it," Hielgar shouts from above, "just make sure you grip in the crevice of the rocks." "Okay I'm coming up now." I placed my hand on a sturdy rock and pulled myself up while also making sure it was safe enough. My body began feeling weakened as if I was giving up, I continued to push telling myself "Don't fall. Don't fall. Don't fall." I finally climbed up the slope catching up to my older brother. My jaw dropped, I was speechless. It was like we entered into an entire different world. The place filled with shiny green glowing ores, there were little rats crawling around covered with the green glowing substance around them, and a water stream that followed along the wall in a u shaped flowing with green substance. We both glance around the fascinating room "Where are we?" Hielgar says subtly. "I don't know but this looks insane" I say glancing around. I touched the green shiny ore. "Look at this, it's glowing green." "Don't touch anything you don't know what it could be." Hielgar exclaims, "come on, we don't have time to look at all this stuff." "Oh come on Hielgar let's just look around, I mean what could go wrong?" "Fine, but only for a little bit." I looked around until I noticed a strange symbol on the wall, it was a circle with many other circles in another and in another. "Hey Hielgar, come look at this." Hielgar walks up and examines it "Huh, that's pretty strange, looks like it could be a symbol of some sort." We then looked at each other and were astonished by what we were seeing. HUHHHH!! "H-ie-lgar your fa-ace, the symbol IT'S ON YOUR FACE!" "I KNOW AND I CAN SAY THE SAME FOR YOU!!" We both looked around confused but before we were able to speak again. We both collapse unconsciously.
