Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Kael is just an ordinary teenager. The type of person who you can encounter a few times and still won't remember their name or face. In short, unremarkable. This puzzled a lot of people; his family was remarkable in their own way. His dad, though always away, holds a high position in a multinational conglomerate. His mother, Elena, who is away at the moment due to a guest appearance on a TV show abroad, is a highly accomplished pastry chef. His sister, Ara, has been a straight-A student ever since they were little. If there is a rating above A, Kael would not doubt that Ara would get it.

It was a typical day in Kael's otherwise unremarkable life. Just lying down in his bedroom, casually reading a book. But it was soon changed.

"Man, how could he not think of that? This protagonist really is an idiot." Kael scoffed, but he didn't stop reading. Call him a literature masochist, but a book is a book for him, no matter how dumb it is.

"He has a fucking absolute word power! How did he manage even to screw that!?" He ranted, throwing the book on his bed. "Man, even dumbness should have its limit," He fumed, shaking his head in disappointment.

He's not a high-level literature masochist. Just a little bit.

"If I have that kind of power?" Kael imagined how it would be if he had that kind of power. "I would certainly enjoy my life, not like this dumb son of a bitch."

It's a bit cliché to say this, but indeed, it was as if the universe heard his sarcastic comment and decided to ask itself, "Yeah, why not?"

Just as he finished saying those words, a sudden pain erupted in his head. The feeling was like someone just doused him with boiling hot water.

"Arggggghh!!! FUCK! IT HURTS!!" Kael screamed pathetically as he thrashed in his bed, clutching his head and hitting it, as if it would even do anything in the pain that he was having. Fortunately or unfortunately, there's no one else in the house, so there is no one who could witness or help him.

Kael could say confidently that it was the most torturous 10 minutes of his life. Usually, he feels several minutes as something short, but the hell he just experienced taught him otherwise, even managing to enlighten him that all things in life are just a matter of perspective. After experiencing all that ordeal, Kael was left in a sweaty mess, veins throbbing in his temples.

"W-wha..." Kael muttered in confusion. Apparently, he just gained the power of absolute word. Yep, exactly as those wish-fulfillment novels that are greatly loved by degenerate readers.

"Fuck yeah!" He said weakly under his breath, the ordeal greatly exhausting him, that even if he wanted to really jump and punch the air, he couldn't do it.

Actually, Kael likes those kinds of novels.

Instantly, possibilities rushed into his mind. The things he could do with his newfound powers. desires that could be realized in life. Things that were thought to be impossible could be possible.

"Oh man, let me just rest here a little bit, and I'll try this out." He closed his eyes as exhaustion began to claim him. Kael wanted nothing but to stand up at that moment and try his powers out, but what happened really exhausted him.

And bam, the next thing Kael knew, his room was already dark.

"I fell asleep?" He asked himself, puzzled. His original intention was just to close his eyes and calm his breathing, but he fell asleep in the middle.

"Hey, you lazy ass! Are you awake already?!" Kael was in the middle of recollecting himself when suddenly he heard a harsh voice outside his door.

"Looks like Ara was home already from school," He muttered distastefully under his breath. Ara was his younger sister. It was already the weekend, but due to her status as a top student, she was tutored on some advanced knowledge on weekends.

Kael couldn't imagine a person so miserable that even on the weekends, they have to go to school. Though it's the other way around for her little sister, in her view, someone just coasting through their life without any remarkable achievements is the one miserable.

"Yeah, yeah! Why the hell do you have to shout!" Kael yelled in response, irritation clear in his tone.

Kael and Ara don't have exactly the best relationship. Ever since Ara began to excel in her studies, she began to look down on her big brother, and, of course, the teenager's pride was bruised. As a result, Kael also began to look at Ara with disdain. Irritation in their tone when talking to each other is the norm in their household.

Then he hears his doors click, which sets him into panic mode immediately for no reason. Which was the scene, discovered by Ara, as she entered his room.

"Why is it so dark he- Oh my god! Are you masturbating, big brother!?" Ara yelled, disgust, revulsion, and disdain coloring her eyes.

"W-What..I...No! I am asleep!" Kael yelled in response, too flustered to notice that what he just said was complete nonsense.

Actually, his younger sister was definitely a looker. She's petite, standing just 5'3, with a cute button nose, green eyes framed by long lashes, and short brown hair, which she typically adorns with assortments of hair clips. It just sucks that her excellence has gotten into her head, and she has begun looking down on everybody.

"You're so disgusting! I knew it! You're a-" Ara yelled.

"Shut up!" Kael yelled in response, shutting his eyes as he was flustered dizzy by the accusation Ara had just thrown.

"Huh?" Kael muttered in confusion when the silence fell into the room. It was very unlike Ara to go quiet. She could go on ranting, shouting, shrieking for hours, after all. It's not like she listened to her big brother.

Opening his eyes, Kael was struck by his sister's panicked look, eyes wide, as if she couldn't open her mouth. Then he remembers his earlier suffering and what it is for.

"It's true?" Kael asked himself quietly, disbelief apparent.
