Li Ze opened his eyes to the smell of damp earth and the chirping of birds but something was off. This wasn't his bedroom. The sky was a pale green the trees taller than skyscrapers, and a faint roar echoed from the distance.
Where am I he muttered, brushing dirt from his jeans.
A holographic interface appeared in front of him, glowing blue. Words floated midair:
Beast Taming System Activated. User: Li Ze. Level: 1.
Li Ze blinked. System Like a game.
Before he could process, a low growl came from the shadows. A beast emerged wolflike, covered in fiery red fur, its eyes glowing orange. Its teeth gleamed, and smoke curled from its nostrils.

Li Ze smirked. Looks like my kind of pet. He raised his hand, pressing a glowing icon labeled Tame.
A golden aura shot from his hand, wrapping around the wolf. It snarled, tried to strike, but the aura held it in place. Numbers and bars floated in front of Li Ze's eyes:

The wolf yipped and lowered its head, eyes softening.

He pointed at a nearby tree. Emberfang leapt, claws flashing, easily knocking it down. Li Ze's heart raced with excitement this was no ordinary world. Every beast he tamed meant more strength, more adventure, more fun.
Suddenly, the system flashed again:

Li Ze grinned. Looks like this world just became my playground.
As he and Emberfang disappeared into the dense forest, unseen eyes watched them from above. The whispers of legendary beasts stirred in the shadows… and Li Ze's journey had only just begun.
