Chapter 1 - chapter 1

THE 0CEAN

The deep ocean waves were unusually restless that day.

In a small fishing village in Chattogram lived a boy named Raihan. Since childhood, he had dreamed of sailing far into the deep sea—where ordinary fishing boats never dared to go. His grandfather once claimed he had seen a strange island of light in the middle of the ocean. No one believed him. But Raihan did.

One early morning, the sky was gray and the wind hinted at a coming storm. Still, Raihan set out with his small trawler. His friend Sakib went with him.

As they sailed farther, the sea changed from blue to a darker, deeper shade. Suddenly, their boat's compass began spinning wildly. The radio stopped working. Thick fog surrounded them.

"Have we lost our way?" Sakib asked, his voice trembling.

Before Raihan could answer, they saw it—a shining light in the middle of the water. It looked as if someone had switched on a lamp beneath the sea.

Gathering their courage, they moved closer.

There, they discovered a massive sunken ship. Half buried in sand, half rising above the water. On its body, the old name could still be read—"Neel Doriya."

Raihan's heart pounded. Was this the ship his grandfather had spoken about?

They put on their diving masks and went underwater. Inside, there was a strange silence. Broken cabins. Scattered old boxes. Suddenly, Sakib noticed an iron chest.

With great effort, the two friends brought it up to the boat.

Just then, the sea grew rough. The waves rose high, as if warning them.

Back on the boat, they opened the chest—and were stunned. There was no gold or jewels inside. Instead, there was an old map and a letter.

The letter read:

"Whoever finds this map will learn that the sea's true treasure is not gold, but knowledge."

The map marked coral reefs and safe passages. It was clearly a secret guide to avoiding dangerous waters.

At that moment, Raihan understood—this was his grandfather's "island of light." The light meant knowledge, something that could save the lives of other fishermen.

The storm stopped. The fog disappeared.

They returned to their village. Using the map, many fishermen learned to avoid dangerous whirlpools and reefs. Many lives were saved.

That day, Raihan realized—

The sea is not only frightening.

It tests you.

And those who dare to dive into its depths,

It rewards them—

With the most valuable treasure of all—

Knowledge. 🌊
