Third person point of view
Christian woke up early and drove to his parents' house. He saw his parents were also all ready and looking after the arrangements. Jacob was being pushed around to get things done quickly. He also joined them and helped. After a while, his nephew woke up and took him away with him to play.
Stephen took out his toys and explained very seriously. Christian listened well and played with him. After a few minutes Sophia took him to bathe him. Jacob went to sit beside him. " For someone who likes children this much, it is unfair that you can't have one of your own ". Jacob sighed at the end.
Christian chuckled. " Nothing like that. I like them but about wanting my own... I never actually thought of it as a big deal ". " Really ? " Christian nodded. Jacob sighed again. Christian saw his somewhat troubled expression and rubbed his head. " Let's go. Mother and father should be looking for us. They will also be here soon ".
Jacob was surprised because of the affectionate gesture. Right. His brother is a nice person at heart. He smiled and stood up. Both of them went to the living room. " Why is your shirt wrinkled like this ? " His mother asked straightening Christian's clothes. " He was pulled to be the knight by my son ". All of them laughed.
They heard the sound of a car being parked outside. " They should be here ". His mother smiled and walked to the front door. They did see Oliver walking in along with his parents. Oliver carefully dressed up in jeans, t-shirt and cardigan to give off a good guy image. Christian's mother gave a big smile when she saw him.
" Hello Oliver. It is nice to meet you ". " Hello aunty ". Oliver also smiled. Christian's mother liked him even more now that she saw him. Christian also greeted Oliver's parents. The elders walked in first. Christian showed Jacob. " This is my younger brother, Jacob ". Jacob smiled. " Hello. It is a pleasure to meet you ".
Jacob extended his hand. Oliver shook it with a smile. " Hello. Mine as well ". They also walked in. Sophia came down holding Stephen. Oliver's eyes lit up when he saw him. He did hear from his parents and also Christian about him. Christian introduced him to both of them too. Oliver took out the chocolate he bought for the kid and gave it to him.
Stephen's eyes lit up immediately and he grinned. " Thank you uncle ". Oliver couldn't help pinching his cheeks. " You are so cute. You're welcome ". Stephen giggled and held the chocolate tightly. " You should not eat it all at once ". Christian warned and he nodded. " Mom will keep it for me ".
Oliver was surprised at how well he listened to what Christian said. They all settled down in the living room. Oliver sat beside Christian. He was a little flustered. They never had this kind of proximity. He tried his best to control his blush. " Your nephew is really cute ". Christian nodded. " Yours too ".
Oliver was surprised and then laughed. " Right ". The elders seemed to have a lot to talk about. " How did they become such good friends ? " Jacob mumbled looking at them. He met Oliver's eyes who seemed to agree with him. " Right ". Oliver replied and they both smiled. They could only wait for them to be done.
The elders finally realized that they had other things to handle. They turned to look at the younger generation. Four of them were chatting among themselves while Stephen just looked at them talking. They also noticed them finally giving attention to them and turned to them.
" Since you guys decided to get married and as you already know, we have no objection to it. But just saying it won't do it right ? We need to prepare for it. So we would like to hear what you guys have to say ". Christian's father stated. Christian and Oliver looked at each other. " Actually we would like to go along with whatever arrangements you make ".
Oliver said and Christian nodded in agreement. " You guys can decide on them and let us know. We will participate in the things we should ". The parents looked at each other. " Fine. Let's do it like that ". Oliver's mother said and they all smiled. They talked about all the things that needed to be arranged for the wedding, venue, cards, guest list etc.
But the most important was the date. They should definitely find a suitable day. " We still need some time to make sure everything is ready. We might need at least over a month. So how about doing it towards the end of next month ? " Oliver's father suggested and they all thought it was reasonable.
" There is a venue that I really like. One of my colleagues had his daughter's wedding there. The venue is really beautiful. I will look into it. If there is a date available around that time, I will settle it ". Christian's mother said. No one had an objection to it. " How about the suits and rings ? " Jacob asked.
" They might take some time if we want them customized ". Sophia replied. " We also need you to select the cards ". Oliver's mother said. Christian took a deep breath. Oliver was also just as stumped. " Can you guys slow down a little ? I am a little out of it right now ". Oliver said and they all laughed.
Christian also smiled. It was a bit too sudden. He turned to his parents. " You guys can make a schedule and let us know what to do when and we will do it ". Christian thought it was better that way. Oliver nodded vigorously. The adults let them be. They discussed things among themselves.
