Third person point of view
They were back to work and the day went by like usual. Christian was done with his appointments and changed out of his uniform. He just walked out when his phone rang. He went to the table and saw it was his mother. He answered the call. " Hello mother ". " Are you busy right now ? " " I am done for today. What is it ? "
She let out a sigh. " I went to the venue with Oliver's mother today and apparently the date they have available is only a little over a month away. They are booked for the next two months fully besides that. So we decided to fix that date after discussing ". Christian frowned lightly. " Okay ".
" Since it is nearer than we initially planned, we looked for some wedding invitation cards. I will send them to you and Oliver should also receive them. So I wanted you both to look into the ones we've sent. If you don't like them, we will send some more new ones ". " Sure mother. I will meet up with him and look into it. I will call you back after we check it ".
" Alright ". Christian hung up and walked out of the hospital. He was going to go home but now went to the cafe. He walked in and saw Oliver busily taking orders with a business smile. By the time Christian went close, Oliver was busy sorting the orders. He gave them to Jason and knew there was someone in front of him.
He spoke in his business tone. " Hello. What would you like- " His words got stuck when he saw Christian and his smile became more genuine. Christian smiled. " I would like your time ". Oliver laughed. " Sure. How much would you like ? " " Uhhh... I am not sure ". Oliver chuckled. " Let's sit and talk ". Oliver let Jason take over.
They walked to the table and sat down. Unlike previous times, Christian sat down beside Oliver. Oliver was caught by surprise. But he didn't mind it as this felt more intimate. " So what is it ? " Christian explained the situation. Oliver took out his phone and saw the messages his mother left. The content was the same as what Christian told him.
Oliver also saw the invitation card samples they've sent. " Do we both have the same ones ? " Oliver leaned closer to see the ones in Christian's phone. Christian felt the aroma of coffee waft into his nose from Oliver. The smell relaxed his nerves. He took a deep breath involuntarily. He was flustered by his own actions and held his breath till Oliver moved back.
" They seem to be the same ". " Yeah ". " But there are a lot ". Oliver frowned as he saw the number of photos. It would definitely take some time. " Want some coffee ? " Christian nodded. He really craved it now. " I will get them ". Oliver left the seat and came back with two iced coffees.
They sipped it and started looking through the photos. They both selected the ones they like separately first and deleted the other ones. " I am done ". Oliver said, turning to Christian. " Me too ". " Alright. Let's see now ". They started looking for the ones they both liked. There were a few which overlapped.
They checked them one by one and found three which they both liked. " We can select one out of these after seeing them in person ". Oliver nodded. " You are done with work ? " " Yeah ". " Then shall we go now ? " " Will that be fine with you ? " " I already informed Jason about it. So he is fine with helping me out. I will change and be back ".
Christian nodded and waited. In the meantime, he called his mother. " We are going there and will finalize one. About the number of cards and all, you guys can settle it ". " Alright, just give the number of cards you would require for people around you. I will take care of other things ". " Okay ".
Christian hung up and sat down making a list of people he was going to give the cards to. He sent the number to his mother. Oliver changed and went to Christian. He stood up when Oliver walked up to him and they went out of there. " I will drive ". Christian offered and Oliver didn't mind it.
He got in the passenger seat. He felt a bit excited. It was his time in the car with Christian. Christian looked like always, calm and cool. Oliver put on his seatbelt and they drove towards their destination. " By the way, you should have an approximate number of cards you want to give away to people around you ".
" Oh yeah. I will do it now ". Oliver took out his phone and started making a list. He counted the number and noted that down too. He checked the list and thought hard so as to not miss anyone. He also sent an approximate number to his mother. They reached the place pretty soon. They walked in and went to the front desk.
" Hello. How may I help you ? " Oliver told them about their appointment and she led them to a room on the side. Oliver saw a couple talking to a man who was showing them the cards. They were soon approached by a middle aged man. " Hello. Sorry to keep you waiting ". " No problem ". Oliver smiled.
The man sat down opposite them. " I heard from your mother that you already selected a few. If you show me your choices, I will show the sample to you ". Christian showed the three they selected. " Give me a minute ". The man came back with the three of them. They looked at it and Oliver picked up the blue one.
It was the eye catching one among them all. It was monochrome in different shades of blue and the design, details and everything were in silver which looked elegant and intricate. It looked beautiful. The color palette of this was better than the others. He showed it to Christian. Christian took it and checked it out. " You like this ? " Oliver nodded enthusiastically.
Christian also saw the other two and this was the most visually pleasing. He showed it to the man in front of them. " We will fix this ". The man smiled and nodded. " My mother will let you know the exact number ". " Alright. We will inform you once we are done with them ". " Thank you ". They both got up and left.
