Chapter 3 - 3: Dangerous Night

Dangerous Night

The streets of Bangkok glimmered under neon lights as Niran followed Kai down a narrow alleyway.

"Where are we going?" Niran asked, trying to sound casual.

"Somewhere you'll understand me," Kai replied, voice low, controlled.

The alley opened into a private club. The air was thick with music and the scent of expensive cologne and perfume. Men in tailored suits and women in shimmering dresses moved like shadows. Security eyes followed Kai as he strode confidently through the crowd.

Niran's chest tightened. He had never been anywhere like this.

"Stay close," Kai whispered, brushing a finger lightly against Niran's hand. Possessive. Claiming.

Niran felt heat crawl up his neck.

Pim would never believe this world existed.

Kai led him to a secluded booth, far from prying eyes. He leaned close.

"You belong here with me," Kai murmured.

"I—I don't know if I can—" Niran stammered.

"Stop doubting." Kai's hand brushed Niran's jaw lightly, tilting his face up. "I've chosen you. That's enough."

Niran's heart hammered. He wanted to look away, but he couldn't.

A shadow moved near their booth. Marco appeared, nodding to Kai.

"All clear. No interruptions tonight," Marco said.

Kai's lips curved slightly. "Good. I want all of your attention."

Niran's stomach twisted. He wanted to protest. He wanted to run. But a part of him ached to stay.

"You're trembling," Kai said softly, brushing a hand along Niran's forearm. Possessive, intense.

"I'm not—" Niran tried, but his voice faltered.

Kai's eyes darkened. "Yes, you are. And I like it."

A drink arrived. Niran took a sip, trying to steady himself.

"Do you trust me?" Kai asked.

"Yes," Niran whispered, though he wasn't entirely sure.

"Good," Kai said, leaning closer. His lips brushed Niran's temple, then his jaw. Possessive. Electric.

The music throbbed around them. Niran felt his pulse racing, every nerve alive.

"Just stay with me tonight," Kai said, eyes locking onto his. "No one else matters."

Niran swallowed. He wanted to nod, wanted to surrender.

Kai's hand lingered near his, fingers brushing lightly over the back of his hand. Not touching fully, but claiming, marking.

The night stretched, the world outside forgotten. Danger, power, and desire tangled in the air between them.

Niran realized something terrifying and thrilling.

He wanted this. He wanted Kai.

And Kai knew it.

The neon lights outside blurred as Niran's world narrowed to one dark, intense truth: he was already marked.

By Kai.

And there was no turning back.
