Hugo's POV
The words cut through the air like a blade, freezing us all in place.
"Touch her again and I'll put a bullet through her skull without hesitation. Her life ends here and now if you keep this up."
His threat turned our blood to ice.
The bastard must have seen how we'd gone completely still, because his cruel laughter echoed around us.
"Look at that. Three mighty alphas brought to their knees by one little wolf." His voice dripped with satisfaction. "I've spent years dreaming of capturing a grey wolf. Never imagined she'd walk straight into my hands."
My hands balled into fists, rage burning through my veins.
"Then you three show up, all desperate to find her. The moment I saw her, I knew she was extraordinary."
I caught the others stealing glances at me, then at each other. The tension between us was thick enough to cut.
"Makes me curious which one of you is smitten with the girl."
