Chapter 4 - This should Be Fun

While the other students had been panicking, fearfully questioning why and how they were brought there, and being completely ignored by the Royal court.

This student, in particular, has been the loudest of the bunch.

He is dressed in a tight-fitting, light pink top that is tucked neatly inside a pair of similarly tight blue pants that left no breathing space for his crotch.

He had on red loafers, with his ankles on full display, an intended feature of his ankle-grazer jeans.

His short orange hair was oily and slicked back, no doubt saturated with so many hair grooming products that glistened with unnatural lavish luster.

He stood in front of the other students like the de facto leader, with his legs spread, right hand raised, with his index finger pointing directly at the grand throne, as he barked his demands. Taking the king and royal court by surprise.

Ah....It's that guy.

Zorat recalled the guy from his memories. Roberto was his name. He is infamous on campus as the dude with excessively high self-esteem. And extreme tastes in fashion. He even dresses more flamboyantly than his girlfriend.

One time, he had a serious argument that led to a duel on campus, because apparently, a student complimented him, saying he looked really healthy, with more meat on his bones than usual.

Roberto, who prided himself on his zero-fat pristine appearance, took that as an offence to his handsomeness. His words.

He then publicly issued a challenge for a duel to this classmate to gain back his abused honor.

Roberto also believes himself to be a descendant of an ancient royal lineage.

If one were to describe Roberto, he would be described as a youth with an extremely high, almost harmful level of ego. Though his confidence seems to draw people to him. He is very popular on campus, second only to Andrew, and they all roamed in the same circle.

Fun fact. There is a rumor that his given name was actually just Robert, but he legally changed it himself when he was just a kid, to Roberto. With the argument that Robert was too plain a name, and could not fully encapsulate his greatness. Mind you. He was only four years old at the time.

If not for the group project that strung along the former Caleb as a last wheeler with this popular group of students, they were never in the same circle, and the former Caleb was actually fine with that, because he was a recluse who finds such flashy people too bothersome.

However, Zorat appreciated such ridiculously overconfident souls. Since the concept of failure was basically foreign to them, when they are faced with such an inevitable circumstance, they would do anything and everything to prevent such an eventuality. Even signing away their very souls. Basically, they were very good customers for him during those years spent as an up-and-coming demon king.

After the prior shock of Roberto's flashy demands. The king and the royal court got back to ignoring the clamoring students and their incessant requests for any sort of clarification on their situation, while the grand vizier just looked on with his perpetual scowl.

The students couldn't act out and only cowered in fear; there were palace guards and knights with very real, very lethal weapons and armor, positioned throughout the throne room and the exit.

They all subconsciously decided that finding out why they were there and not acting rashly was the smart move. Except for Roberto, who was currently regaling the entire throne room with tales of his greatness and why they shouldn't dare ignore him.

However, it would seem these people weren't just choosing to ignore the students, as it appeared they were waiting for someone, with their gazes occasionally panning towards the large double doors to the side of the throne room.

And right on cue, those large double doors sprang open with a very loud creak, and Zorat, who had been enjoying the entire show, panned his curious gaze in that direction; as did all the others gathered.

The entire throne room descended into a sudden quiet as a woman stepped through those large doors, radiating such a divine aura that it covered the entire space.

She took steady steps that rang out with clicks on the marbled floors of the throne room, towards the center, and finally stopped in front of the gathered students.

Would you look at that?

Zorat had seen a lot of beautiful females through countless millennia of his existence. And this beauty that had just walked right in can be counted among the very top ten.

She had long, resplendent silver hair that reached her protruding behind. Shimmering golden eyes and rosy lips.

A vision of perfection in a long, flowing, tight-fitting white gown, studded with ruby gems at the ankles, and gold trimmings at the edges.

The dress struggled to contain her sinfully curvaceous body, and her milky white cleavages heaved rhythmically on her chest.

Her gentle smile was mesmerizing as she stood in front of Zorat and the gathered students. Everyone in the room was enraptured by her almost divine beauty.

Zorat's eyes flickered briefly, almost imperceptibly, with a crimson light as he gazed intensely at her, already imagining ways to flip and turn her.

"Welcome, dear Heroes," she began in a voice as warm and sultry as melted butter.

"You have been chosen by Goddess Arleria to represent the light and chase away the darkness from our lands." Her voice rang sonorously through the throne room. Then she paused for dramatic flair, as she studied the assembled students with a warm smile on her face.

Zorat watched her with amusement. She seemed to be serious, and from the expressions of the king and the royal court; They understood what this darkness was. So he was curious to find out as well.

"Rejoice. For you have all been summoned into the world of Arleria to serve as our champions..."

"And to vanquish the great darkness."

"The demon king"

Huh ?.

Now this should be fun.

Hehehe.
