"He wants Hollow's Edge. I don't know what to do. Since Aria has developed feelings for the boy I dont want to push the boy away but i might have to which would greatly upset Aria." Hector said to Edward who refilled his cup.
Hector wouldn't have been opposed to bringing Myaki into the royal family. But Myaki was from the Druga Clan.
Myaki was a ticking time bomb just waiting to go off with his mental state.
Edward however had never been married and his closest encounter with a woman was in a brothel in his younger days.
But that didn't mean he was blind to see someone in love.
"I may have an idea to solve both problems. If we create a training corps in Hollows Edge or near it then we can keep a close eye on the boy. It is only a days ride by horse so its not like it would take long to ask for assistance." Edward said while being unaware of Myaki's personality and mental state.
It would have been a feasible way to get what both parties wanted but Hector knew it wasn't a solution.
He knew Myaki was hanging by a thread before he would explode.
"After Yondl and Dagga arrive tomorrow I will discuss it with them and Margaret. Dotcanu will most likely agree and want to set up an outpost in Hollows Edge while Aria will think it's a reasonable reward." Hector said.
On multiple occasions Dotcanu wanted to make use out of Hollows Edge to turn into either another laboratory or a military outpost to train more soldiers.
But due to its rocky terrain it was almost impossible to move a massive number of troops in and out of it at once.
Margaret and Dotcanu then devised multiple means for troop transportation with either creating a Mass Teleportation Array or drill a tunnel under the mountains that lead to the center of Hollow's Edge.
Neither method was feasible as only a few mages in the kingdom could cast Mass Teleportation spells and even then it was severely draining to use such a spell repeatedly.
Next was the tunnels and their problem. If thousands of soldiers were marching through the tunnel and it suddenly collapsed then not only would many of them die but it would cost them valuable time to be reinforcements on the battlefield.
It was just too risky for both options so Hector dismissed the idea entirely and focused on other matters.
But now he had to turn his attention back at Hollow's Edge because Myaki had asked for it.
It's economic value was worthless but it's tactical value was immense as it was close to the border of the neighboring kingdom filled with beastman, The Jol'ulada.
Their military might as beastman were nothing to ignore.
They only remained peaceful because of the technology and power Tuonku had and that Hollow's Edge was placed directly between the capital of Tuonku and the beastman Kingdom's military fortress, Demon's Fang.
Like elves, Beastman were more attuned to nature then humans but while Elves call the spiritual energy of the woods to aid them.
The beastman tame animals to aid them in battle after the first beast king tamed an ancient dragon.
It was what made them so formidable in a battlefield as well as their enhanced physical strength compared to an adult human warrior.
If Hollow's Edge was just a plains and not a stoney patch of mountains branching off in all directions then the Jol'ulada Kingdom would have invaded Tuonku long ago and might have even succeeded despite Margaret being in the capital.
Not even a mage as powerful as Margaret could withstand the full force of a fleet of Wyvern Riders without injury.
And just then Margaret appeared with a few bottles of alcohol wearing her more casual clothes.
"Drinking without me dear husband? I should transfigure you into a goat for not inviting me." Margaret said as Edward poured Margaret a glass of whiskey that Dotcanu made as an experiment.
Hector chuckled and leaned back into his chair while Margaret summoned a chair for Edward. Anyone would have seen them sitting and drinking and thought they were adventurers who had just returned from a quest.
But Edward was still formulating ideas for Myaki to accept that would also be beneficial to the kingdom.
However none of them were worth the effort or were quickly shot down by either Hector or Margaret.
-Meanwhile with Dotcanu at the Adventurers Guild-
"My prince, we have fully investigated those who were involved with former Guild Master Toma Hawken's crimes. It would appear that only he and his assistant were involved." Said a white masked man with a few daggers clipped to his waist.
While Dotcanu wasn't a fighter like everyone else in his family that didn't mean he was never in danger. He had found both his sword and shield that he helped grow.
The Shadow Legion, once a feared and hunted organization who did whatever needed to done so long as the money was good.
Dotcanu caught wind of their organization that even avoided Queen Margaret's gaze during the festival of the First Dawn.
They were sent to kill Dotcanu himself but Dotcanu turned them and they swore loyalty to only Dotcanu.
"Thank you Joul. Have Dina deliver this news to my father and have Bruce deliver this news as well to Aria. It will most definitely be good news." Dotcanu said.
Dotcanu and his Shadow Legion were quite observant and both knew Aria had feelings for Myaki.
And while the Shadow Legion didn't care about meaningless stuff like that. Dotcanu was more interested since it was his precious little sister whom he would willingly trade his life for.
Dotcanu was busy sorting through buried investigations and forged documents when two letters were handed to him by Joul who grabbed it from the shadow on the ground.
Shadow Steps, a technique given to the founders of Shadow Legion by an unknown master that everyone in Shadow Legion had learned.
"My Prince, letters from Prince Dagga and Crown Prince Yondl have arrived for you." Joul said.
Dotcanu opened each letter and read their contents as he had expected their letters a day before their arrival. Ever since he sent a letter of his own to inform them of both a royal summons and of what had happened with Aria.
Both Dagga and Yondl loved their little sister just as much as Dotcanu so each of the letters were filled with as many questions as could be fitting on the piece of paper.
Dotcanu even started to notice their hand writing was more messy at the end like they were shaking as they were writing from either anger or overwhelming joy.
'Guess I should warn Myaki before something troubling happens. I wonder how he's doing right now.' Dotcanu thought to himself.
Lately he had been too focused on the Adventurers Guilds correction that he has had very little time to attend other matters.
He couldn't send the Shadow Legion in his stead to visit Myaki as even Hector and Margaret were unaware of thier existence.
Only Aria knew of their existence after Dotcanu told her.
Even in Aria's own shadow was a skilled member of the Shadow Legion to serve as a hidden bodyguard.
It was how Dotcanu learned of the Wyrm Attack and of Myaki's existence as the one who saved her.
But just as Dotcanu was stamping more documents Joul appeared out of Dotcanu's shadow.
"My Prince, Baron Cyrro wishes to schedule a meeting regarding Hollow's Edge. He said a Open Dungeon has formed in the mountains." Joul said.
Dotcanu put down his pen and rubbed his chin at this unexpected news as he has had multiple encounters with Baron Cyrro.
Baron Cyrro Visla, given his position over 7 years ago by Margaret herself for the outstanding revenue of his trade which was blacksmithing.
House Visla was the main supplier of armor and weapons for the royal army and had a force of 3,000 men at their call.
Some even say Cyrro Visla was trained by Smith Tyrele herself but no one believed it as Smith Tyrele was famous for not taking on any students.
But Dotcanu was more focused on the dungeon that has formed.
"Send a letter to Aria to give to our father. This decision is to be made by the King." Dotcanu said as he knew why Cyrro sent the letter to him rather then the King who oversaw matters such as these.
Cyrro knew Dotcanu wanted to use Hollow's Edge as either a research laboratory or a military outpost. If it was the latter then Cyrro could charge more for supplying the outpost.
And each member of the royal family could command up to 5,000 men for an emergency such as a dungeon forming.
But Dotcanu was smarter then to jump at the chance as that was what Cyrro wanted.
"At once my Prince." Joul said before disappearing.
Dotcanu was left to contemplate this new piece of information as Dungeons were by itself an anomaly.
Some dungeons are just buried and are waiting to be discovered which are called Sealed Dungeons. But a dungeon can also be created only recently which were called Open Dungeons.
If left unchecked even a newly made dungeon can cause serious issues.
So Dotcanu would have to wait for approval from the King to authorize such a dangerous expedition into Hollow's Edge.
