...
When Vash oped his eyes again next day, it was already early in the morning, with the sun peeking from the horizon.
The outside environment already start to become restless as human activity resumed.
This is General City, the tuna capital of the country. A city full of richness but poverty is still reeking in the corner.
As soon as Vash woke up, he immediately start preparing for his day. It was Tuesday today, and he have class this 8:00 am so he doesn't have the time to linger long.
After washing himself up and wearing his ironed uniform, he was now ready for another arduous day at college. Well, school is easy for the smart him.
He then walk through the road that leads to his school for sometime. He walk because it calms his mind, not because he can't afford transportation.
Sometime later, he arrive at the school and immediately saw this f*cker kind of dude harassing a girl in the hallway. No one stopped this from unfolding because this f*cker is a well known troublesome rich bastard in school.
Vash doesn't really care about this things happening around him, but this time it was different, because she kinda look familiar.
In another angle, Vash fully saw her face and that's it, he really knows her. She was actually someone he knows, it's his childhood friend, Melissa.
"Girl, why don't you become my girlfriend? I'll give you what you want. hahaha"
The f*cker pinned Melissa down the wall, restricting her from getting away.
"Please! Just go away!" Melissa spoke in disgust, wanting nothing from him.
"Heh! Don't be hard headed b*tch! I'm giving you an opportunity!" The f*cker sneered, still pushing himself at her.
Vash watched, unsure if he should help this long lost friend of his. His not afraid of problem, nor afraid of this rich kid as he maybe richer than his entire family combined. He just don't want troubles.
"Just f*ck off!" Melissa pushed the f*cker but he's just too strong.
"I'm giving out face you dumb wh*re!" The f*cker was infuriated, as a son of a rich man he thinks that the world revolved around him. He really believed that Melissa is being ungrateful!
The f*cker then rises his hand, planning to beat Melissa until she understands how great he was. Melissa can only close her eyes as she was about to get slap.
"Take this you ungrateful b*tch!"
Thud!
Suddenly, the f*cker's slap didn't landed and the f*cker got send flying on floor instead.
"*Uggh!!"
The f*cker grunts is pain as he clutched his stomach. "F*cking who!?" He roared as tears fall from his eyes, it's really painful.
The one that cause this appeared behind Melissa, he was Vash.
"Are you okay?" Vash asked but there's no warmth nor worry in his tone, his face still indifferent.
"Ahh..." Melissa was kinda shocked, she doesn't expect that someone would come to help her. "Yes, thank you!"
"Good!" Vash spoke a word and moves on, the day is still long so he didn't plan to waste it all in this drama.
"..."
"Wait!" Seeing her savior just walk way coldly, she didn't really felt it was okay to end it all like this so she followed along him. "Why did you help me?"
The two walked together, while the f*cker hug his stomach in the corner, swearing like he was afraid there's no tomorrow. "Who the f*ck are you? How dare you mess with me! I'll pay this grudge a hundred fold! Come back here you mother f****!"
The f*cker's voice slowly fade away in the background as the two continued walking through the hallway.
"..."
"Uhmm... Thanks for saving me."
Seeing the awkward silence when she followed along Vash, as Vash didn't speak anymore, he didn't even answered her question. Vash is like a cold mountain, impossible to talk to.
"No need." Vash replied indifferently before he proceeds to walk away, leaving Melissa behind.
"This..." Melissa was speechless, she wanted to get to know him better and properly thank him for his troubles but he's just too cold, he even look a little disappointed at her for some unknown reason. "What's really is his problem...?"
Vash walk through his class, sit and listen to the discussion. Then buy a lunch, go back to his class, sit and listen then he gone back to his apartment.
That's how monotonous his life in college was, it's boring, exhausting and many more terms to describe it. He just didn't know why his parents is so proactive at him to enter school even do it doesn't help really much in the real world.
"Nevermind..." Vash muttered as he walked back to his apartment when suddenly, a group of bat wielding thugs block his way with the f*cker from before. He stands at the center with arrogant sneering face, looking for a beating.
"You're dead man now, you little shit!" The f*cker taunted but only got cold indifference from Vash while he picked up his phone to call the emergency.
"Ring~ Ring~ Ring~"
"Hello? Is this the police? I'm being targeted by a bunch of uneducated thugs on my way back to my apartment, please come and save me."
Vash didn't warned, nor said anything, he just called the emergency without a second thought, shocking the bad guys by how decisive he was, they even have staring to have thoughts of running away.
"Yes, I'm on the General's College! Hurry, they are about to beat me up!"
"This..." The f*cker was lacked of words, the thugs around him also don't know what to do, this guy is just too strange.
"Uh... Should we continue what were doing?" One of the thugs besides the f*cker asked in bewilderment.
"Yes! What do you think were still doing here? Beat him up for me!" The f*cker roared, then the six thugs around him rushed towards Vash with the bat in hand.
"Blame your bad luck kid!" One of the thugs spoked before he swung his weapon at Vash.
Whoosh!
The bat whooshed through the air where Vash was into, a second ago, it was a close call.
Vash didn't just dodge this attack, he also counter attacked in the split second! The thug that just swing his weapon at him, received a heavy brain vibrating punch on the face, directly sending him unconscious on the ground.
Now Vash has a weapon, a baseball bat. He really needs to control his strength and degree of damage he want to inflict, as he doesn't want to be in jail again.
Bang!
As soon as Vash grabbed the bat, he swiftly swung at the nearest thug again, at the speed the thug almost hasn't notice. His bat hit his arm, dislocating it instantly, while he lost his grip.
"Ah–AHHH!" He screamed, but he was immediately shut up by Vash again by hitting his head with enough force to make him fall asleep.
After finishing the two, the remaining four start to chicken out but still continue the fight as they believe they could still win due to their numbers.
Baam! Baam! Baam!
The fight lasted for a couple of minutes, Vash was injured in the process but he defeat them all barely. Not because he's gifted in fighting, but because he was fierce and savage like person when he was messed with.
"D–Don't come anymore closer! Y–You're gonna regret it!" The f*cker crawled back away, he's not really injured but it's because he's too scared that his legs didn't listen.
When Vash heard this f*cker threats, he's not intimidated or what so ever. He just stared at him so deeply for a long time that he shrink into his own body.
"Listen here bastard! I don't care who you are or what can you do, but when you dared to mess with me again. I promise you, you're going to beg me to end you!" Vash face twisted into a creepy smile of horror, like staring at the face of psychopath killer.
"*Hieek! Yes–yes–yes–yes. Forgive me, forgive me." The f*cker was scared to his wit that he peed his pants. This guy would not going to bother him again, anytime soon.
"What a wimp!" Vash mocked while he kick him on the chest.
"*Ugh!"
A little while later, the emergency has arrived. The police almost took Vash as the suspect of this cause, but after a bit of explanation, they finally get the gist of this.
They put Vash in the hospital for a check up and also to check on him if he was okay. He really got beaten up badly today, who could remain unharmed after seven bastard ganged up to attack you.
After the doctors from the hospital are done treating him, he immediately planned to return home, there's nothing here either way and staying here would bankrupt him. This building is a money grabber that steal everyone's life force when they enter, asking millions for just sleeping on their prison bed.
Vash walked through the crowded streets, full of bandage on his face. No one knows what he was thinking at this moment but he was about to rest in his apartment, and that's the most important thing to do right now..
While his mind was fully occupied by countless thoughts, he hadn't notice that the word around him has mysteriously stopped. People freeze and the city noise faded through the background.
In the sky above, a celestial eye watched what's happening below with godly indifference. Vash nor any other person didn't notice that this is the sign of impending new change, the beginning of this world apocalypse.
After glancing around for a second, Vash finally noticed that something was strange, but before he could muster to say something, the world morphs, the earth breaks into magma, and people disappeared one after another. Vash was one of such.
Whoosh!
