It was afternoon.
Gentle sunlight poured into the courtyard of the house, and the sounds of voices from the street were clearly audible. The mood inside felt a bit different today compared to yesterday.
After their talk yesterday, things seemed to have subtly changed.
This was no longer just a casual friendship...
Now, their relationship was really about to evolve.
Anaya sat in her room.
Her laptop was open in front of her, but she wasn't writing today.
To be honest, her mind was somewhere else.
Since early morning, her phone had been ringing non-stop with calls from relatives.
Some were congratulating her.
Others were asking—what date had been set?
At times, all this felt a bit odd for Anaya.
She probably never imagined that everything would change so fast.
Just then, there was a soft knock on the door.
Her mother entered the room.
"Anaya, I need to talk to you about something."
Anaya closed her laptop and asked—
"What is it, Mom?"
Her mother smiled softly.
"Aarav's mom just called."
Anaya leaned in to listen closely.
"She said... if you're okay with it, she would like you to come over to their house for a little while today."
The room fell silent for a few seconds.
Anaya quietly asked—
"Today...?"
"Yes," her mother answered. "She mentioned that she just wanted to meet casually—nothing serious... maybe she simply wants to get to know you better."
Anaya thought for a moment.
There was a slight flutter of nerves in her heart... but also some curiosity.
"Alright, Mom," she replied gently.
About an hour later, she was ready.
As she looked at herself in the mirror, she gave herself a small amused smile.
"Why am I thinking so much about this?" she murmured. But honestly—
This was her first visit to Aarav's home.
When she arrived, Aarav's mother opened the door.
"Come in, dear," she said warmly.
The home's atmosphere felt simple and peaceful.
Within minutes, Anaya started feeling more comfortable.
Aarav's father joined them as well, and they began chatting casually.
During their conversation, Aarav's mother said—
"Aarav is upstairs in his room. You can go see him if you'd like."
Anaya nodded slightly.
Her heart began beating faster as she slowly climbed the stairs to the upper floor.
The door stood slightly open.
She knocked gently.
"Come in," someone called from inside.
Anaya stepped inside the room.
Aarav was standing by a table in his room.
For a moment they locked eyes; then—
Aarav smiled and said: "Hi."
"Hi," Anaya replied back.
The room was very basic.
There was a table, some books... and a laptop.
But then Anaya noticed something on the table.
It was a stack of printed pages.
Curious, Anaya moved closer.
Suddenly, she halted.
She stared at the pages intently.
This... was her story.
Chapters of her story had been printed out.
In several spots were pen marks, with small notes jotted next to certain lines.
Anaya felt truly amazed.
"This...?" she asked quietly.
Aarav smiled faintly.
"Yes—your story."
Anaya continued looking at the pages.
"You read all of this?"
Aarav responded plainly— "I've been reading it since the start."
They both remained silent for a few seconds.
This surprised Anaya more than anything else could have.
She thought Aarav might only glance through it casually... if he even read it at all. Yet here he had actually printed out chapters!
Aarav picked up one of the pages from the table.
"This chapter is my favorite," he said with interest.
Anaya took it from him—it detailed her characters' dreams.
"You read it that carefully?" she asked with surprise evident in her voice.
Aarav shrugged lightly.
"A good story deserves close attention."
Anaya offered a faint smile but deep down felt something different stirring within her…
She felt a wave of warmth, maybe even more than she had anticipated. For a while, the two of them engaged in casual conversation. For the first time, their chat seemed more open and relaxed, as if the awkwardness between them was slowly disappearing. Then, out of nowhere, Aarav picked up a page from the table. "I've written something here… if you don't mind," he said quietly. Anaya looked a bit surprised. "What?" Aarav handed her the page. Underneath a specific line of her story, he had jotted down a note: "If Anaya (the character) paused for a moment to reflect on what her heart truly feels... this scene could become even stronger." Anaya read it closely and then looked up at him. "Are you... giving me feedback?" Aarav smiled softly. "Well, I'm a reader, right? That gives me some right to share my thoughts." Anaya laughed. "So you think I made a mistake here?" Aarav shook his head. "Not a mistake... just that the emotional depth could be improved." They both fell silent for a few moments before Anaya said, "This is the first time anyone has talked about my story like this with me." Aarav replied quietly, "Because for the first time, I feel like this story isn't just meant to be read... it's meant to be understood." Hearing this made Anaya pause for a few seconds, but this time her smile was different; it showed she was genuinely touched.
A voice called from downstairs: "Anaya, dear—the tea is ready." They both went downstairs together. A little while later, as Anaya prepared to leave, Aarav walked her to the door. A gentle breeze flowed outside as they stood in silence for a moment. Then Aarav spoke again—"By the way, can I say something?" Anaya looked at him and asked, "What?" With a slight smile, Aarav said—"You might not realize it… but your story is really good." He continued, "Not just because people are reading it… but because it feels real." Anaya didn't respond; she just smiled gently. Inside her heart was an unusual sense of calm.
As she walked home along the path, she realized that today had been different. For the very first time—she felt that someone truly understands her story. But once she got home... a new notification appeared on her phone—a message from the Platform. She opened it and immediately noticed her expression change slightly.
The message read—
"We need to discuss something important about your story."
Anaya stared at the screen for several seconds.
She couldn't tell if this would be good news or something unexpected.
And perhaps...
This could mark another turning point in her journey.
"Will this message guide Anaya's story in a new direction?
Or does she face an upcoming challenge in her life?
And will Aarav really support her through this adventure? "
