"Soldiers! Attack!"
Suddenly, thousands of soldiers rushed forward, cutting through demon bodies like they were thin paper. Not far from the chaos, a man shielded his child, keeping him safe from the monsters.
"Everyone stay calm!" Michael shouted.
He swung his sword, piercing a demon cleanly. The baby in his arms was not afraid. His eyes lit up as he watched his father strike.
"Da daddy," Karo whispered.
"Not now, Karo," Michael said firmly, trying to pull him back.
As he spoke, a demon lunged at him.
"No!" Michael roared. He blocked the attack and sliced the demon's head off. "Ciana! Get Karo away from here. I will catch up with you two!"
Ciana scooped Karo into her arms. The little boy reached back, trying to grab his father with tiny hands, crying. Michael's mind was torn between the battle and his child. Suddenly, a demon general launched a surprise attack, knocking him down.
"Father! I am here!" Serol shouted. In a blur of speed, he decapitated the demon general. Michael quickly got back to his feet.
"Where are the others, son?" he asked.
"They are fighting on the frontlines. Come, we have to help them," Serol replied.
Meanwhile, Karo and Ciana hid inside a building. Ciana held him gently.
"Come here, boy. Shh… everything will be okay." Karo's eyes drooped, and soon he fell asleep in her arms.
Two hours later, Karo woke up and gave a small yawn. He climbed out of Ciana's arms and spotted a devil nearby.
"WoW!" he exclaimed. He crawled toward it eagerly.
The devil's eyes burned with hellish fury, sharp teeth bared, ready to strike. Before it could, Ciana froze it in place and shattered it into pieces. Devil organs flew into the air, but Karo did not flinch. He tilted his head, confused rather than afraid.
"Mo mo Mom! Hies flying awaii awai! Ballun ballun!" he shouted.
"Yes, Karo," Ciana said, laughing softly. "He's flying away like a balloon."
The battlefield burned in the distance, but in the safety of the building, Karo watched as the devil's blood disappeared into the night sky.
Ciana and Karo rested, and soon the sun's rays woke them. Michael burst in.
"Hey! You two are okay, right? Nothing happened? No demon attacks?" he asked anxiously.
"Honey, you worry too much. Nothing happened. But where are w—" Ciana began, but Karo clung to Michael's leg, interrupting her.
"Da ddy!" he cried.
Michael scooped him up gently. "Come here, my boy. How is my little warrior doing?"
Karo giggled in response.
"So, mind explaining where my other kids are?" Ciana asked.
"Serol is on the frontlines. Kendain is defending the south of the Legend World, helping the army. They're crushing it. Kayla said she'll be here any minute," Michael replied.
"I'm glad my kids are okay," Ciana said with relief.
At that moment, a girl with long black hair and red eyes opened the door.
"Kayla, my baby girl!" Ciana exclaimed.
"Mom!" Kayla ran into her arms. After hugging her mother, she spotted Karo.
"So this is my baby brother, huh?" she said, kneeling.
Karo stuck out his tongue. "Weeee!"
"Manners, boy!" Kayla scolded lightly.
Just then, Kendain entered, dark hair with red tips.
"You gotta go easy on the kid," he said.
"Blother!" Karo yelled happily.
Kendain picked him up and swung him in his arms.
"Hey, let me see him!" Kayla said. Kendain smiled, holding Karo gently.
"Okay kids, I think I will take him," Ciana said.
"Here, mother," Kendain handed Karo to her. She placed him in bed, and the men rushed outside.
"What the hell is that?" Michael shouted.
"I don't know, but it looks like trouble," Serol replied.
A giant fire-covered rocky golem was approaching the royal castle, destroying houses with each step.
"Every man hold your ground! Steady!" Michael commanded.
The golem drew closer, fifty meters away.
"Attack!" Michael yelled. Soldiers rushed to strike its feet and body. Serol flew up and cut off its shoulder. Michael joined him, slicing the other one. Both arms fell into the water, smoke rising as lava poured out.
Meeting in midair, Michael and Serol shouted together, "Now!" Their combined blasts shattered the golem's head. Landing safely, the soldiers finished off the torso.
"You did a great job, Serol," Michael said.
"Thanks, father," Serol replied.
Kendain arrived, panting. "What did I miss?"
"A giant lava golem, not too much," Serol said casually.
"I fought demons trying to break in," Kendain replied.
Meanwhile, baby Karo slept peacefully. Later, he awoke and yawned.
"Morning, my little warrior," Ciana whispered.
"Mom, can I hold him? Please please please?" Kayla begged.
"Sure honey, be careful," Ciana said. "Don't drop him."
"Aw, such a cutie," Kayla said.
Karo pointed at her. "Ugli witch!"
"I'm not that ugly, okay? You are lucky you're not old enough, or I would have slapped you," Kayla said.
Karo slapped her lightly. Kayla put him back in bed. He crawled next to his mother.
"Shh, shh… there, my baby," Ciana soothed.
The soldiers cheered, thinking the war was over, but suddenly, many demon soldiers flew toward them. One demon general slipped past and broke into the castle.
