Chapter 2 - Chapter2. Making it to her door.

Alejandra stared at him for a few seconds, then replied when she realised he expected a reply. "Hi. How may I help you?" she asked. Eww, she's cold too. But that also seem to make her even more attractive. He mused. "Nice dog. It's a beagle, I guess. What do you call it?" Alejandra just kept staring at him and only spoke when he said no more. "You didn't come up here just to ask about Sammy" she said. "Sammy, that's a cute name. Actually, I just thought to say 'hi'. You don't have any engagements today, yes? If so, we can go watch a movie in the evening. I've got two tickets and no date". he held out the tickets for her to see. " I'll be glad if you will give me the honour. But, I won't bother you if you already have plans" he added when she said nothing. "I already have plans, I'm sorry" she said, dismissively. Aww, now she's really pissed. I guess I pushed way too hard, he thought. "Okay. But, call me up in case you change your mind. You might want to come over to the house sometime, it's the third house across old Bayford" he said, took her hand and dropped his card in her palm then went away. Alejandra was left perplexed and bewildered. The last she wanted was a man in a her life,not even a handsome devil in the form of her neighbor. She quietly closed the door and lean on the doorframe. "What?" She asked Sammy who looked at her expectantly. "No, no men allowed. Actually, no human allowed if they can be avoided. So, it's just you and I" she walked into the kitchen with Sammy in tow. Her initial thought was to destroy the card the stranger gave her but somehow gave it up and threw it in the garbage can instead.
