Chapter 2 - chapter 2 (our team)

"Holand, please take a seat," the principal said, as he had an appointment with Holand to discuss the university he wanted, and the school needed his creative ideas for the dedication as a school sports competition. "You asked for me, sir?" "Holand, we've seen your final grades, and they're impressive. I want to hold a competition at this school, and I want you to be dedicated to organizing the event." "Me? Why not someone else?" Holand shrugged. "I know you're a new student, but you're not alone. I've..."

The conversation was interrupted by another voice. "Sorry I'm late," a girl's voice was heard clearly as the principal invited her in. "Keyli, I've been waiting for you," Holand was already there, and for some reason, they were both called.

"Laura, where's Keyli?" Jerry asked Laura, who was eating alone in the cafeteria. "She's in the principal's office." "The principal's office? What did she do?" "Maybe she's working on a big project, and the principal called her and Holand."

Jerry was curious. "But, sir, we're both new students, do we have to participate?" Keyli objected. "Aren't you guys smart from your previous school? We need students like that." "I'm not interested in the school event," Holand said.

"Holand, you want to get into Harvard, don't you? I can dedicate you to it, and talk to your mom about it," the principal said. Keyli was silent, knowing this was a good opportunity to participate in Arkenstone and get a scholarship to her dream university. But how could she work with Holand, the cold and indifferent guy?

After class, Keyli found Jerry waiting for her outside the classroom. Holand came out, looked surprised, and walked past them without a word. Jerry noticed Keyli's flat expression. "Is it a new project from the principal? He asked you and Holand to participate in the school competition?"

"I'm the best candidate, and I need this for my dream campus. Arkenstone will dedicate it to me," Keyli said. Jerry didn't like the idea of Keyli working with Holand.

"From tomorrow, you don't have to go with Holand. I'll take you to school," Jerry offered a ride home.

Elis was waiting for a ride, but no one came. She walked to the school building, seeing Holand leaving the school, and ran to catch up with him. "Hey, can I go home with you?" Holand looked at her and allowed her to ride with him.

Holand was silent, focusing on reading a book. "Sorry to bother you," Elis broke the silence in the car. "It's okay," Holand replied.

"Have you seen my brother? I've been waiting for him," Elis asked. "No, maybe he's with Jerry," Holand said.

"Jerry didn't tell me. Maybe Arkenstone made him forget everything," Elis said. Holand smiled, thinking something.

They arrived home on time, as Sarah would be angry if they came home late without confirmation.

"Are you two... Keyli and Jerry?" Sarah asked, seeing Jerry dropping Keyli off. Holand watched Keyli and Jerry together, feeling uncomfortable.

"I'm confused, is he mute?" Jerry joked about Holand's silence. "He's just a bit quiet. I'm having trouble discussing the school event with him," Keyli said.

"You still have time to withdraw from the event," Jerry said. "No, I need that dream campus," Keyli was hesitant.

Keyli went upstairs to look for Holand, seeing his room door open, and tried to enter. No one was there, but his study table was messy, and he was reading a book that looked familiar.

"Are you looking for something?" Holand came out of the bathroom, wearing only a towel, showing his athletic physique.

"Oh, I was looking for you. Can we discuss the school event? You're hard to find at school," Keyli said.

"Tomorrow, we have a meeting with the other organizers, so it'll be discussed then," Holand replied.

"Okay, I'll come to school earlier," Keyli said, looking at Holand fixing his wet hair, looking cool for a teenager.

Holand noticed Keyli staring at him, and Jerry entered, making Keyli snap back to reality. Jerry pulled Keyli out of the room, and Holand watched them, feeling uncomfortable.

The school would organize a sports competition, including volleyball and swimming. "Is that all?" Keyli objected, feeling the school should also have a charity event or party after the competition.

"Who cares about a party?" Holand dismissed the idea. "Why? Don't you like it?" Keyli asked.

"Wasting time," Holand replied. "Does this German guy have no taste for parties?"

The other organizers agreed with Keyli's idea, and Holand had to accept it.

Jerry still wasn't talking to Keyli, and she tried to apologize, but he left early due to his GERD acting up. Keyli was worried and called Sarah, who was at David's office.

Sarah was at the hospital, accompanying Jerry, hoping Keyli would come. "Mom knew it was you who called," Jerry said, smiling.

"Keyli? She's busy with the event and Holand," Jerry said, feeling uncomfortable.

Jerry got out of the car, looking unwell, and Sarah told him to rest in his room. Soon, they heard Holand's car, and Keyli came home with her stepbrother.
