Chapter 27 - Arc of the Queens

The Beginning of the Revenge

The 120 queens, leaders of that nation, were searching for a way to take revenge on the king. They met every day and decided to cut off all affection toward him, ignoring him for two months to "teach him a lesson." In reality, the king had only taught them a lesson, but they wanted their vengeance.

Thus, they would deny him any affection, but they would do it in a very particular and seductive way: they would stay close to him at all times, not giving him room to breathe, yet they wouldn't caress him or give him a single kiss. They would even sleep on top of him but wouldn't allow him to touch them. The queens were going to tempt him for those two months, and so, the game began.

The 120 asked the king to multiply himself and leave a clone with each of them. They played with him, talked to him, joked, and stroked him, but whenever he tried to touch them, they wouldn't let him. At nightfall, they would hold him, but when he wanted to embrace them, they rejected him and forbade any kisses. They would only kiss him to make him uncomfortable, caressing him so much that the king began to feel intense heat in his body, yet nothing happened.

The king endured this for nearly two months. The clones began to feel unwell: their heads burned, the excitement unified, and they felt dizzy due to the tremendous arousal caused by their queens—and they were doing it on purpose. It was the revenge each one of them carried out.

They were as beautiful as flowers and smelled of lilies. Their hair was like wild blossoms, a beautiful scent; their long, soft tresses and beautiful bodies surrounded the king, but they did not let him touch them. The king knew they were taking their revenge, but it was a game of seduction, and he could not fall.

In the final weeks of the two months, the king could practically take no more. They were on top of him all day and had even stopped working. They had delegated all their duties to their servants and right-hand men; the QUEENS had hired nobles across the country so they could do nothing but stay with the king at all times. It was good for him to be with them, but the abstinence was killing him.

The Awakening of the Clones

On the last day before the queens had decided to end their revenge, one of the clones staying with the queen of vampire origin underwent a change. His eyes were no longer blue; they turned red, but Kai did not notice. He didn't realize that one of his clones had taken on an eye color different from the rest.

The next morning, Kai woke up and noticed the queen by his side was gone. The other clones were gone too. He realized he was not unified: he tried to merge back and couldn't; he was still multiplied into 120 clones. He was just a single clone, unable to communicate with the others.

The 120 queens had vanished, not even the one who had slept in his arms remained. Desperation began to rise, and he called the Governor directly for help. He told the Governor that the queens and his clones had disappeared, that he was not the unified Kai but a clone, and that he needed to find them urgently.

But the Governor told him that no one had left: the soldiers confirmed that throughout the night, no one had abandoned the domains. When Kai went to find his collar to put it on, it was gone. Neither the shield, the ring, nor the sword could be found.

Kai feared the worst: one of his clones had taken power, or worse, all the clones had gained their own consciousness. It was a possibility that sometimes crossed his mind, but this time it had become a reality.

Kai headed directly to the lands of the Crowned Beasts. He went to the coastal hotel he owned in those lands, but they weren't there either. Night fell and his desperation grew. The Governor deployed troops searching for them across the entire peninsula, but it was useless.

Suddenly, a soldier from a mountain spotted something that hadn't been there before and was shocked: in the lands of the Crowned Beasts, a gigantic black castle had emerged—as if built from a horror story—in the middle of the desert of those lands. Kai was alerted, and he headed directly toward the castle.

The Awakening of the Queens

The 120 queens woke up chained to black walls; the cold metal of the shackles bruised their wrists. One hundred and fourteen of them were fastened against the surface of a massive wall, held at different positions and heights. They stared at one another, confused, unable to comprehend how they had ended up there.

At that moment, from a hallway cloaked in shadows, a figure emerged. The queens were inside a sort of gigantic dome, all of them chained to the circular walls. In the center of the dome floated a path of stone—a massive platform suspended in mid-air.

Upon that stone appeared their husband, but his appearance was different: his eyes were red, not blue. Beneath the platform, the sight was terrifying: there were hundreds of clones. In total, a thousand versions of Kai inhabited the castle, not counting the original Kai who was searching for them. There were 999 clones, including the one walking upon the stone. The rest of the clones had lilac eyes; only the leader possessed that crimson gaze. The queens, chained and vulnerable, had never seen such a display of their husband's power.

As they watched the red-eyed clone and the multitude of lilac eyes, the leader began to walk with an air of pure malice and spoke:

—"Good morning, my precious queens. Welcome to your new quarters."

The Queen of vampire origin was the first to speak out: —"Why are you doing this to us? These chains are hurting our hands!" —she reclaimed in pain.

The evil Kai responded coldly: —"And do you think I care? From now on, you will live like this. You will be my slaves."

—"You're insane! Let us go now!" —the queen replied.

—"Ha, ha, ha!" —the clone mocked—. "Do you think you're speaking to your husband? To that coward?"

One of the queens, Aurora, watched him closely and whispered to her sister: —"That is not our husband."

—"What do you mean it's not him? Look at the clones! It is him!" —"No, it's not him. Look at his eyes," Aurora insisted.

In that instant, the vampire queen looked closely and confirmed the suspicion: that was not the man they knew. One of the queens of the desert origin asked firmly: —"Who are you, then?"

The clone began to float, slowly approaching her. He took her chin and began to brush her lips with his thumb. —"I am your owner, my beautiful queen."

The girl confirmed through those red eyes that the being in front of her was someone else, a distorted version. A warrior of the earth mages shouted defiantly: —"Let us go, or you'll see what happens when Kai arrives!"

—"Kai! I am Kai!" —the clone roared—. "All of us are Kai. We have taken control because the Old Kai was a coward; he didn't have the strength necessary to do what must be done."

Several of them looked at him with deep reproach: —"Don't call our husband a coward! Where is he?"

—"We dismantled him. We stripped him of his power and left him stranded at the beach house. Now, we will live here. In this place, there are no responsibilities, and you will be with me 24 hours a day. You will no longer live with anyone else, only with us, and you will serve us all."

Seeing the hundreds upon hundreds of clones, the queens felt fear invade them for the first time. Queen Sara sentenced: —"When my husband comes, you'll see."

—"Your husband, if he even comes, is only one. We are 999 warriors ready to fight. He has the same strength as we do; it is impossible for him to win. Ha, ha, ha!"

The laughter echoed through the dome. The queens realized that, for the first time, their husband—or a part of him—showed an attitude of pure evil. Truly, that red Kai was a part of him, but he had kidnapped them, enslaved them, and had no intention of letting them go.

At that very moment, the blue-eyed Kai arrived before the immense gates of the black castle.

The Resistance and the First Blow

The queens began struggling to break their chains, but the red-eyed Kai noticed that they would only succeed in hurting their hands. Those chains had been specifically designed to contain Kai's clones; the queens were far weaker and would never be able to break them.

Faced with this, he ordered five or six clones to hold each queen so they wouldn't harm themselves. The Red Kai forced each of them to sit in a chair and told them to stay still, warning them that they were surrounded and should get used to it. —"From now on, you will do everything I tell you," he declared with authority.

However, they all burst into loud laughter. —"Seriously? We've never listened to you before, and you think we're going to start now just because you kidnapped us? You're crazy! You're even crazier than before!" —the queens shouted through their laughter.

Meanwhile, Kai—the one with the blue eyes—began pushing against the immense castle gate, but it wouldn't budge. As he tried to approach again, ten lilac-eyed clones dropped down on him from above.

—"Stay away from the gates; you are not welcome in this castle," they warned him. —"Where are my queens?" —Kai demanded. —"There are none of your queens here; they are our queens now," replied one of the clones.

Kai tried to force his way forward, but one clone landed a punch to his stomach while another connected an elbow to his temple, nearly knocking him unconscious. One of the clones grabbed him and, with a single thrust, threw him through the air, tossing him four kilometers away. It was the first time Kai had received a real blow from himself. He hadn't calculated the strength of those clones, and though the three hits injured him, he wouldn't surrender.

Inside the castle, the queens continued to mock the Red Kai.

—"Listen, you insolent women!" —the enraged clone shouted—. "From now on, you obey me!"

The queen of vampire origin, noticing the collar she herself had placed on him the night before, confirmed that this was the clone who had been with her. —"Listen to me, you idiot," she said. "We are going to leave, and you are going to have to unify again. We are going to have a very serious talk about what you're doing."

—"You don't understand, you insolents!" —the Red Kai roared—. "I am your king and you will obey me!"

But they only laughed again.

The Queens' Challenge and the Arrival of the Army

The vampire queen continued the mockery: —"Look, you're the one who was with me last night, right? What's wrong? Do I influence you that much?" —she said, laughing—. "Do you want me so badly that you've gone crazy?"

Amidst the collective laughter, the Red Kai screamed in desperation: —"Stop laughing at me! Talk seriously! I will rule this world. I have an army at my disposal, and your husband will soon become part of my troops. The Kai you once knew will cease to exist. Ha, ha, ha!"

The Queen of the Demon King's Territory, one of the princesses of those domains, challenged him: —"Are you really going to conquer the world? And how do you plan to do it?"

—"I am stronger than all of you," the clone asserted. But the laughter didn't stop.

At that moment, Aliarda, one of the strongest queens, stood up. —"Oh, really? You're stronger? Listen well: you are weaker than any of us." —"I am not weak. I am stronger than you," the clone replied. "So sit down, daughter of the Legionnaire!" —he added, mocking her father.

—"My father's name is Legion," Aliarda said, her knuckles cracking with rage. "Your little show is about to end."

—"Ha, ha! Your father? Your father is not the king of this planet, nor of this kingdom. Here, you are alone and you will obey me, Aliarda!"

—"My name isn't 'Alergia,' it's Aliarda, you idiot. And if you don't stop playing this game, I'm going to disfigure your face," she corrected him, furious that he had messed up her name.

Another queen took her hand to calm her: —"Leave him. He's not in his right mind."

Sara, one of the leaders, intervened: —"Listen, how much longer is this little game going to last? We have important things to do in the kingdom."

The Red Kai, losing his mind, screamed: —"Silence those mouths!"

The clones gagged the queens and led them out of the Dome, though they were still laughing internally.

Meanwhile, four kilometers away, the blue-eyed Kai was trying to recover from the blow, not knowing which path to take. But as he looked behind him, he saw a massive silhouette: it was the entire army of the White Warlocks' Kingdom. At the front marched his four generals and the Governor, leading one million soldiers in search of their queens.

Strategy and Confrontation

—"Listen, Kai," the Governor said, "the soldiers are anxious to rescue their queens. Look at the scale of this army." —"They are stronger than I am, or at least they possess my same strength," Kai responded seriously. "The problem is that 999 clones have kidnapped the queens, but I am certain that only one of them is controlling the others."

—"Really?" the Governor asked, astonished. —"Yes. What we must do is calculate the strength of each one and select our most powerful warriors to distract the clones when they emerge from the castle. Meanwhile, I will go inside to try and defeat the leader and reclaim my original power."

Kai performed a quick mental calculation. As a unified being, his total mass was approximately ten thousand tons. Divided by a thousand (the 999 clones plus himself), each Kai possessed a weight and strength of ten tons.

—"Basically, an elite warrior could take on up to three Kais of this level," he concluded. However, he only had five warriors capable of reaching that level of strength. The rest of the army would have to clash against the mass of clones, which predicted a massacre.

—"We will do this: I am going to challenge the leader directly," Kai declared. —"So it shall be, King," the Governor nodded. "We will obey you. But listen well: the queens cannot suffer any harm." —"They won't hurt them," Kai affirmed firmly. "Even though I don't know what kind of personality that leader has developed, he is still a part of me, and every atom of my body loves them madly. Don't worry, he won't do anything to them."

The Governor calmed down slightly as the King advanced with the million soldiers toward the castle. The war trumpets echoed across the desert. From the balcony, the Red Kai watched the tide of soldiers. The five generals and the Warlock King raised their swords against the black castle, defying its leader.

The evil Kai let out a laugh that chilled the blood of those present: —"Ha, ha, ha! How stupid you are!"

The Parade of the Queens

The Red Kai ordered the castle gates to be opened. Immediately, the 999 clones emerged, escorting the queens. They were gagged, their hands and feet bound in forced silence. Each had been placed on a throne carried upon the shoulders of the Kais. It was a grotesque parade of captive queens.

Seeing them, the blue-eyed Kai caught his breath, but the tension spiked as hundreds of lilac-eyed clones positioned themselves on the flanks. As they marched, the earth vibrated beneath their feet, sending a shiver through the army of the White Warlocks. In the center of the formation, the Red Kai walked with the arrogance of a dictator, sending a silent message: "One more step and everyone dies."

—"Wait for me here," the blue Kai told the Governor. The two leaders met in the center of the field, face to face, while both armies stood in a deathly silence.

—"Who are you, really?" asked the blue-eyed Kai. —"Do you really think I'm going to answer such a stupid question?" the clone mocked. —"It's not stupid. Why did you kidnap my queens?"

—"'Your' queens! It's always 'your queens,' your love, your house, your sword!" the evil one roared. "We are a thousand Kais, not one, and you've known this for a long time. You ignore our requests. While we are locked inside your mind, we see how the queens smile at any stupid peasant in the village. Those smiles are mine!"

—"Listen, you idiot," the blue-eyed one replied, "they have the right to smile at whoever they want. They don't belong to us. They are with us because they love us, not because they are tied down."

The queens, though gagged, listened to Kai's words. Many looked at him with eyes full of love, seeing how their husband defended them even from his own shadow.

The Humiliation of the Hero

—"Listen, you moron," the blue Kai continued, "are you going to release them, or will I have to defeat you right here in front of them? I don't think you want them to see you humiliated after acting so brave."

The Red Kai did not respond with words. He made a sign with his fingers, and instantly, five lilac-eyed clones lunged at the blue Kai. He tried to defend himself using all his skill, but it was impossible: the clones knew his techniques, his movements, and possessed his same strength.

They gave him a brutal beating in front of the 120 queens. It was an ironic and painful scene: the King was being destroyed by himself. With his face covered in bruises and spitting blood, Kai tried to stay on his feet. The evil leader made another sign, and the five attackers returned to the ranks.

—"Do you understand reality now?" the Red Kai said. "We are in charge. While you enjoyed them, we were your prisoners. Now they are ours, and we aren't giving them back."

Those words fell like a sledgehammer blow on the blue-eyed Kai. Yet, with the unshakeable determination that defined him, he rose heavily. —"I challenge you alone," he said, wiping the blood from his mouth. Despite being visibly injured, he repeated the challenge: "I challenge you. You're the leader, aren't you? If I win, I take back control."

The Red Kai smiled with disdain. —"I have no reason to agree to your stupidity. We have already won. Accept your defeat."

The Fragility of the King

The queens watched helplessly as their husband was beaten. While for a few, the situation felt slightly ironic, for the vast majority, it was a scene of profound sadness. The powerful Warlock King—the one who had always exhibited invincible and limitless power—now lay defenseless before his own reflection.

There he was, on the ground, bleeding like any ordinary human. Kai looked up and realized the weight of the moment: his entire army and all his queens saw him as vulnerable, stripped of his armor of invincibility, as fragile as any other man.

The Discourse on Loyalty and Freedom

The Red Kai, ignoring the fallen man on the ground, looked up at the White Warlock's army with arrogance: —"The problem you see here is an internal matter between the king and his queens. You owe me obedience because I am your King! Now, return to the kingdom and do not appear again until I call for you."

The Governor, the powerful vampire, stepped forward without flinching: —"Our King is the one on the ground. We owe you no loyalty, and we will fight for him until the last soldier falls."

This infuriated the Red Kai. —"Listen to me, you idiot! For that defiance, I will have you executed," he roared.

At that moment, the blue-eyed Kai stood up with great effort and faced the clone: —"Leave him alone. The problem is with me. Look, I understand I'm at a disadvantage and that I cannot defeat you all right now, but I will not allow them to be slaves, nor will I let them lose their freedom."

Kai steadied his voice, speaking with a firmness that echoed across the battlefield: —"I love them, but I love them as they are. I love them because they are free. I love them because every time they smile, the people are happy. The soldiers standing behind me, even if they are weaker than you, have come with bravery because they are loyal to them. We are all here because we love them. You must understand that I will not back down; I will not let you extinguish their smiles or lock them in cages like animals."

He paused, his gaze lingering on each of his queens. —"They have the right to form bonds with whomever they choose. And if the moment comes when they decide they no longer want to be by my side or near my heart, I will let them go. Because I do not love them to subject them to my will. I love them so they can shine, so their happiness can fill my shattered heart. So I am asking you, please, let them go."

The Red Kai remained silent, struck by the honesty of his words. The blue-eyed Kai continued, this time with a tenderness that moved everyone present: —"Every morning when I wake up, I see those beautiful eyes of different colors. Each one has a unique personality. Even if they think I don't notice who each of them is, or think I see them all as the same, to me, each one is a different sun every morning. I feel my heart reborn when their touch brushes against my face."

—"I have so much happiness having them by my side that you cannot even imagine it. I understand that you grew from my jealousy. All of you, the 999 clones, were born from my insecurities: from when they were at the market, when they spoke with princes and nobles, or when they traveled to foreign lands. I recognize that those insecurities unleashed this chaos. It is all my fault."

The queens watched with tenderness as the most affectionate man in the world spoke, recognizing the Kai they truly loved.

The Emergence of the Four Supremes

When the blue-eyed Kai finished speaking, a strange phenomenon occurred among the crowd: the 998 lilac-eyed clones began to blink frantically. Their eyes flickered between red, blue, and lilac, as if an internal struggle were shaking their very essence. Suddenly, from the mass of clones, four of them stepped forward, standing out above the rest.

The first began to emit a dark aura, a malignant energy that enveloped his body while his eyes turned completely black. The second clone released a divine aura, pure and blinding; his eyes transformed into an absolute white. The third was surrounded by a silver cosmos that shimmered with intensity, and his eyes adopted that same metallic hue.

But it was the fourth clone who unleashed the most overwhelming power. As he stepped forth, the earth trembled beneath his weight, and a golden aura, more powerful than any other, surrounded him while his eyes ignited in gold. In that instant, the golden-eyed Kai raised his hand with authority.

At that gesture, the rest of the clones immediately knelt in a sign of submission. Only the four new leaders remained standing: the black-eyed, the white-eyed, the silver-eyed, and the golden-eyed. The blue-eyed Kai remained on the ground, wounded, while the Red Kai watched in astonishment at the four beings who had emerged from his own multitude.

The white-eyed Kai spoke, addressing the two clashing leaders: —"The two of you have brought shame upon us all."

Then, he fixed his gaze on the evil clone: —"Red-eyed Kai, do you accept the fight? Or will you continue to lose your honor?"

The blue-eyed Kai, struggling to stand, asked: —"What will you do?"

The white-eyed one ignored the question and pressured the red clone once more: —"Our King is commanding you. Fight, or accept your defeat."

The Red Kai, feeling the pressure from the Four Supremes, finally yielded: —"Fine, I will fight. But you," he said, pointing at the blue-eyed Kai, "are injured. It will be a quick victory for me."

The four Kais of different colors took their positions to observe the duel. At the same time, the lilac-eyed clones, still kneeling, began to cheer for both sides. Their shouts echoed across the field; there were no longer any favorites—only the anticipation of the ultimate battle.

A Duel of Wills and the Supreme Intervention

The blue-eyed Kai and the red-eyed Kai took their combat stances, while the four leaders took their positions. The golden-eyed Kai stood upon an elevated area, watching everything like a monarch. To his left and right, the black-eyed and white-eyed Kais stood as impassive guardians, protecting their king. The silver-eyed Kai stayed to the left, arms crossed, waiting for the clash to begin.

In that instant, the blue-eyed Kai attacked. Despite the clear disadvantage of being injured against an untouched rival, he did not hesitate nor flinch. The collision was brutal. Both began to trade blows using the same techniques and the same strength; it was a savage fight, a mirror of violence. For Kai, this was the first time in his life that he received attacks that truly hurt him. Both the blue and the red felt the weight of their own strength, understanding that every impact was serious.

The battle escalated until the red-eyed Kai, feeling the pain, attempted a desperate attack, but the blue-eyed one was faster and launched a devastating kick that struck squarely on his face, making him spit blood. Neither would yield. The blue-eyed Kai would not allow his dark side to enslave his queens; he would fight to the death if necessary.

Meanwhile, one of the queens—the youngest daughter of the Hero King and Sara's sister—separated herself from the group. She walked decisively toward the elevated area where the four leaders stood. As she approached, the black-eyed Kai ordered her to stand back, but she insisted and knelt on the ground. —"I wish to speak with the King," the girl pleaded.

The black-eyed guardian tried to remove her, but the golden-eyed Kai placed a hand on his shoulder and, with a slight nod, signaled him to step aside. The golden leader leaned toward the young woman, who looked at him with desperation. —"Please, do not let my husband die. I ask you from my heart, which suffers to see him hurt like this. Stop this; I know you have the power. I will do whatever you ask of me," she begged through tears.

The golden-eyed Kai, with a gesture of unexpected compassion, wiped the girl's tears. He straightened up and looked at the silver-eyed Kai, giving him a sign. The silver-eyed one shook his head at first, but at the insistence of the golden gaze, he shrugged as if to say, "What can you do?"

On the battlefield, the blue and the red continued to tear each other apart, both already heavily injured. Suddenly, the silver-eyed Kai vanished from his position. In a blink, he appeared right between the two combatants. With a single fluid movement and a single kick, he knocked them both unconscious. His strength was overwhelming; a single blow was enough to take down both leaders.

Without a word, he grabbed them and began dragging them across the ground, bringing both the blue and the red to the feet of the golden-eyed King.

The Benevolence of the Golden King

The two Kais—the red-eyed and the blue-eyed—regained consciousness, lying wounded on the ground before the Golden-Eyed King. The Supreme Monarch finally spoke, his voice echoing with absolute authority:

—"You insolent fools. You have forced me to manifest in this world of mortals. And that... that has offended me deeply. However," the Golden King continued, "I will grant you one opportunity."

At that moment, every single clone knelt in unison. When the world witnessed the clones bowing, the army of a million followed, and the queens knelt as well. The Golden-Eyed King began to walk. With every step he took, the earth beneath his feet burned and cracked.

—"I am benevolent. I shall spare all your lives, for I recognize this has been an internal matter of our family," the Golden King declared. "I will let it pass for now. But there will not be another chance. I will never again tolerate such a lack of respect."

He approached the red-eyed Kai, who trembled under his gaze. —"Do you understand?" —"Yes, my King," the clone replied, his head bowed.

Meanwhile, the black-eyed Kai firmly lifted the blue-eyed Kai from the ground. The Golden King turned to the original and spoke with cold severity: —"Stop this. Stop these stupidities. We have far more important things to do than to waste time on such disputes."

The white-eyed Kai then announced: —"The King is departing. Give thanks for his benevolence."

In a heartbeat, every single clone, the guardians, and the Supremes vanished. The black castle and the oppressive tension evaporated into the air, leaving only the blue-eyed Kai standing there before his army and his queens, processing the warning from his own internal divinity.
