The prisoners didn't speak at first.

They were dragged into the holding cells beneath the compound just before midnight—four Bloodcrest wolves, bound in iron restraints, their injuries treated just enough to keep them alive.

Selene stood outside the cell bars, arms folded, watching them in silence.

Beside her, Silas leaned against the stone wall, his presence heavy and controlled. Kai paced back and forth like a restless storm, while Rowan stood still, observing everything.
