The break flew by, and soon it was time for Team 541 to set out on their first mission.
Yuan Si, their captain, stood with her team members at the barracks gate, waiting for their transport. Jiao Group Leader took advantage of the remaining time to anxiously pull Yuan Si aside for some last-minute words of caution.
"Once you're in the forest, don't try to be a hero. If you run into trouble, contact headquarters. You have your communicators secured, right? Don't you dare lose them. Also, stay alert at all times. You can't let your guard down. This is different from catching those traffickers on the mountain. This time, the enemy is armed. One wrong move, and it could really cost you your lives." Jiao Group Leader had worried himself sick to ensure his subordinates all made it back alive. He had been repeating these warnings day after day, hoping they would take them to heart and never forget.
