The porcupine feast that evening was a given. With their bellies full, they snuggled into their blankets for a wonderful night's sleep. Even the constant, pitter-pattering rain outside couldn't dampen their spirits.

The rain continued for four days before finally stopping. The team quickened their pace, cutting their rest short by an hour each evening, and managed to make up for the lost day.
On the afternoon of the thirtieth day, they finally emerged from the forest. They returned to the military base before dinner.
