His leg was stretched out under her chair. Dressed in all black, he was slouched casually, exuding a lazy air. But unlike before, his face was tinged with a gloomy expression.
He was used to being arrogant, but he couldn't bring himself to be that way with her. He pulled his leg back. "Alright, whatever you say."
She stood up. Her phone, which was on the desk, started ringing. As she walked closer, she saw it was a call from Jocelyn Lawrence.
After ending the call, she looked at Zane Jennings, who was still sitting in the chair.
