Spencer Sinclair walked in, holding a tablet. Cole Sinclair anxiously snatched it from him. As soon as he saw the final clue, he issued a command: "Prepare a plane to fly to Country F."
As it happened, it was all quite a coincidence.
The conman Yates had once offered five hundred thousand to have Riley Perry killed. Someone took the job the same day, but unfortunately for them, Riley had two teams of bodyguards at the time. To make matters worse, Warren Valentine had caught another would-be assassin in the act. The new assassin decided to back out—after all, money's no good if you're not alive to spend it—and canceled the contract.
For a long time after that, the contract went unanswered. For one, Riley Perry was a public figure, which made her a difficult target. For another, five hundred thousand was simply too low a price. No one was willing to take the job.
Until recently, when two rookies new to the business accepted the mission.
