Riley Perry felt that, given their past relationship, it was a bit too intimate for Samuel Hughes to keep putting food on her plate.
The spacious private room fell silent, with only the sounds of the two of them eating.
After the meal, Riley Perry urged Samuel Hughes to head back.
They were supposed to be rehearsing, but instead, they had driven into the city for a meal. Including the drive, it had taken more than two, nearly three hours. An idea was solidifying in her mind.
'I don't want to get entangled with a man right now. Isn't focusing on my career more appealing?'
"Alright, I'll get going."
Samuel Hughes agreed and led Riley Perry out. As they left the hotel, he even remembered to buy her a warm, strawberry-flavored milk tea.
'The Samuel Hughes of today is so different from the one in my memory,' Riley Perry thought. 'I'm having a hard time processing this.'
