Chloe Chase sat at her vanity, gazing at the receiver with its flashing red light.
She didn't reach out to press the activation button.
"Host, don't you want to go back?"
System Seven asked her in her mind.
"Go back? Back to where? This is my home."
Chloe Chase corrected it.
"But there's someone in that world who desperately wants to see you."
"Just because someone wants to see me, I should abandon my parents and everything I have?"
Chloe Chase replied gently but firmly in her mind, 'No, I won't.'
She had deep ties to that world.
But that couldn't become a cage to imprison her.
"Host, will you have any regrets?"
System Seven asked considerately.
Chloe Chase didn't answer the question. Instead, she suddenly asked, "Seven, is there any way you can help me send a message to that world?"
She was unwilling to abandon herself to go to that world.
But she still owed them an explanation.
