Faye Vaughn was also a little shocked.
The memories flooding back went far beyond what she'd seen in her dreams.
'This world… I really have been here before.'
"Vincent, do you remember? Back then, I was discovered by one of the kidnappers guarding the warehouse. He grabbed me and locked me up with you."
The dust-covered memories gradually sharpened into focus.
As the memories returned, Faye Vaughn smiled faintly. "The kidnappers were going to kill me on the spot, but you stepped in and promised them you'd pay an extra ransom for me. That's how I narrowly escaped."
She and Vincent Hawthorne were locked up together for several days.
They almost starved to death.
The kidnappers only gave them water, not food.
The hunger was so unbearable that she started telling stories to distract herself.
