Chapter 16 - Chapter 014: Subject 008!

KRAMMMM!

BOOM!

The explosion was unlike anything. The walls of the café detonated from the force of a colliding figure that resembled a mountain.

Through debris and dust clouds that kicked up, the panicking customers saw a monstrosity unlike anything.

"Finally. Subject 008, Neichā Kuīn Daisy! I've found you after all these years!" The voice sounded like grounded metal, its four red eyes glowing intensely through the thick clouds of dust.

But those words ushered by it was easily enough to stir chaos within Ryūjin's and Daisy's heart.

The moment chaos ensued, Ryūjin and the were already moving. Daisy was launched backwards by the shockwave which caused Ryūjin to launch himself over, saving her immediately from the impact of her own fall.

Viverion was next, she raised her guard as her hair flipped through the air by the intensifying wind pressure.

Without wasting a second of precious time, she darted towards several customers who were either paralyzed through fear or injured by flying debris.

"Uraraka, Mina! Snap out of it we need to get the civilians out of here!" Viverion yelled. She was no longer just a mother or a civilian. She had now transformed into her former self, Iron Matron.

From the sidelines Mina and Uraraka immediately felt their body regaining companionship with their minds.

As quickly as they could, they scrambled towards the nearest civilians whereas a green blur would have already begun working his way through.

Over the counter, Ryūjin had long since carried Daisy through the back, situating her safely in the storage room.

"R-Ryujin-kun! What's going to happen to me?! That thing..! He seemed so familiar but I couldn't exactly remember where.. I-Is he trying to capture me..? Or kill me?!?"

She panicked. Her chest rose and fell as the feeling of anxiety and fear gripped her.

For some reason she couldn't shake the feeling of their being levels beneath this entire thing.

Seeing her frightened state, Ryūjin calmly reassured. He couldn't stick around too long however, and he knew that.

She knew that too.

He nodded and gave a few more words of reassurance before taking off.

"You'll be safe, I promise—nothing is going to happen to you."

His school bag dropped, his shirt was torn off and his shoes were removed.

He decided to confront the monstrosity without any restrictions on his movements.

Meanwhile, outside, the café had long since been cleared of its customers. The dust clouds were finally settling leaving the 9 foot 11 monster to be seen bare and unrestrained.

Its skin was red, burning red, it had four red eyes and four monstrously muscular arms that were clenched as though they were clasping onto tiny burning suns.

Strangely enough, the monster wore a large white shirt that it filled out effortlessly and a black pants that hugged its large legs. Yet, despite its almost humane sense of fashion, an animalistic snarl was still left on its face.

Silence filled the area as a thunderous heartbeat echoed a moment behind. Opposite the monstrosity, Viverion and Izuku stood side by side, their Quirks already operating as they identified his openings.

"Give me Subject 008." His heavy, bone chilling voice demanded.

Izuku frowned, his center of gravity lowered, his elbows tucked into his sides as both fists were lifted in front of him. He adopted a boxing stance.

"That isn't her name. And she isn't up for taking either. That's our friend so if I were you, I'd leave, now." Izuku's eyes glowed a deep emerald. His expression hid nothing. He was extremely serious in his declaration.

Yet, that seemed to have been enough to anger the monster far beyond what it had been already.

"Your friend? Wrong! Subject 008 belongs to me! Atlas Grimm! She belongs to me!!!"

BOOM!!!

The monster, Atlas, seemingly vanished. The world vibrated as his large figure sped forth at mach speeds. The ground beneath him cratered to horrifying extents.

!!!

Viverion's Quirk worked into overdrive as her physiology skyrocketed once more. Next to her Izuku did something even more shocking. He channeled OFA beyond what he had been using previously.

Before it was 45%, but now? It was 60!

Thousands of tiny arcs of green lightning flickered into existence then and there.

As Atlas closed in with horrifying speeds, both Izuku and Viverion vanished. They reappeared on both of his open sides.

Both left and right as they swung out a devastating hook. Viverion delivered the liver blow and Izuku delivered a demolishing rib cage detonation.

BOOOOOOOM!!!

Gah!!!

The remaining pillars and walls of the café exploded. It was literally gone as the earth cratered in once more. From the side, a red blur approached.

Ryūjin saw that Atlas was immobilized from the impact of the joint attack. He used this moment to his advantage.

His muscles coiled, they seemed to have become even thicker than before as Iron Edict was immediately called upon.

His Hanma Bloodline worked to its fullest. The black pupils of his eyes stretched, eating away at the white of the sclera as the gold of his irises became orbs within the dark.

Iron Edict—

—Ninth Cycle

Collapsing Orbit.

KRAAAMMMM!!!

The air visibly shook, almost like it was cracking. The already speeding Ryūjin accelerated even further as his right arm cocked back into a terrifying punch.

His forearm muscles coiled visibly beneath skin as steel cable-like veins swelled. The air around his arm literally vibrated as sparks flickered for a moment within the air around it.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

The fist collided with Atlas' face.

All that remained in the cratered area was Ryūjin, Izuku and Viverion. Rings upon rings of compressed air detonated around them yet it was as though they couldn't see it.

One by one they vanished forth as they gave chase to the receding figure of Atlas Grim.

Being sent flying by such a powerful impact, Atlas was screaming at the top of his lungs whilst simultaneously attempting to stop himself.

He flipped through the air as gravity slowly dropped him back onto the earth. His four arms dug into the earth creating trenches whereas his two feet widened them.

"If you keep on getting in my way I will kill you!"

He wasted no time.

Immediately steam began to rise from his body as all four arms of his started to swell in a flaring surge of heat. The muscles within them shifted continuously before he crouched into a leaping motion.

Without a second thought—

FWOOOM!

He was gone.

Viverion, Izuku and Ryūjin saw his returning figure and hastened their approach.

"Izu-kun! Throw me now!" Izuku didn't even question her, he just did what she ordered.

Grabbing her beneath both feet mid advance, his arms glowed with the light of OFA as he spun mid air before releasing a devastating explosion of pressurized air.

Ryūjin activated King's Engine, keeping up with his mother whereas Izuku activated Flow Invictus.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Three colorful blurs tore through the air as Atlas' figure returned with a terrifying glow of burning red.

The monstrosity beamed as his feral set of teeth flashed with a promise of doom.

"Meteorite Collapse!" Atlas yelled out as three of four fists came crashing down onto the three figures.

"Iron Might!"

"Emerald Edict's Seventh Form!"

"Iron Edict's Ninth Form!"

"I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!!"

KRAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!

KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The air detonated, a pressurized heat was sent outwards as a massive hundred foot crater was formed. His massive arms were locked in a fierce collision against the three heroes.

"Why are you doing this?!" Izuku asked through bulging veins and hurried breaths.

"I have no intention of speaking about my reasons, green midget! Give me back Daisy or face my wrath!" Atlas roared.

"Alright you bootleg four arms! Have it your way." Ryūjin wasted no time! He shoved the arm that held his punch as he tapped deeper into his bloodline.

A coiling presence awakened. Monstrous, almost demonic. Though he couldn't fully manifest it, merely a flicker was all he got.

But it was enough. Viverion's eyes widened before she gave a knowing yet wry smile.

'Somethings are simply undeniable.'

The Demon Back flickered into existence and for a moment, Atlas felt something he hadn't since he was a child.

Fear.

Ryūjin's distorted expression shifted into a maniacal smile as his fists flung out in such a precise yet demolishing manner.

The air detonated and yet, Atlas brought his two remaining arms up, acting as guards.

BRR!

BOOM!

Bones folded in of itself, Atlas' eyes widened in horror as his almost impenetrable physiology shattered on its left side.

Izuku smirked as he delivered a kick to his stomach creating some distance between them.

Ryūjin's Demon Back withdrew immediately yet the after effects of using it prematurely hit him like a train.

His bones groaned and his muscles slowly tore. Buckets of sweat rained down from his body as it was the first time since maturing to this age, he'd been forced to try so hard.

Viverion glanced at her son worryingly. She asked, "Ryūjin, child are you okay? Would you like to sit this one out?" Her question made him laugh loud and unrestrained.

"What kind of son and brother would I be if I let my closest family take on this walking apocalypse without me." Ryūjin answered with a devilish smirk.

"Yeah bro, I get you." Izuku replied, "I don't know what connection a monster of this magnitude has with Daisy but one thing is certain."

"Yeah. You're right. We ain't letting him get close." Ryūjin followed up.

"Good. I was starting to think that my boys were weaklings." Viverion said with a smile that mirrored Ryūjin's own.

Off to the distance Atlas screamed. He had heard what they were talking about. Talking about him so casually like he wasn't a walking nuke. The way they spoke of Daisy as though she was closest to them instead of him.

Why did she look at him with such fright? Why didn't she smile upon seeing him?! Why! Why! Why! Why!

"WHYYYY?!?!"

BOOM!!!

At that moment, large amounts of fiery energy ripped apart the air as Atlas' skin started resembling magma. His four fists were tainted with an edge of molten red-silver as blankets of steam rose and fell off his body.

The ground around him cratered once more and his collapsed left side suddenly healed. That immediately raised alarms in the mind of the three staring him down.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Izuku was the first and then it was Ryūjin followed by Viverion.

"YOU MADE DAISY HATE ME! YOU WILL PAY HUMANS!!!"

VWAMMMM!!!

"Come and get it shithead!" Ryūjin roared!

————

Brr!!

Alarms sounded, heroes moved! Around them, attached to walls, screens displayed what was going on in the vacant area of the city. You may be wondering, why were there no screams the moment Atlas had landed where he was?

Well, from the moment Ryūjin had sent Atlas flying, Viverion had alerted several heroes to clear the area up ahead and evacuate civilians via a device developed recently called the Alert Pin.

To get them operating as soon as possible she had selected the highest given form of casualty on the small device and entered the coordinates of where she assumed Atlas would stop himself.

In doing so, she was able to give several patrolling Heroes a heads up to save hundreds if not thousands of lives.

"Hurry! Send these coordinates to All Might as well! He said he's already airborne! Endeavor is close! All eyes on the monster guys! Make sure every satellite is up and running! Make sure you guys have Hawks updated on any possible civilian casualties!"

A man wearing the clothes of a director ushered orders as he stared towards a screen that displayed the retired Iron Matron and two high-school students clashing head first with a calamity leveled monster.

A/N: Nicki Fury..?

"Come on Iron Matron..! You better not let anything happen to these kids. Think about the reputation of the heroes…"

Up above within the sky. Several news anchors were currently broadcasting to their individual channels, the situation at hand. Whether at home or nearby, civilians were horrified seeing the state of destruction created by the collision of just four.

"We are now live at the scene of confrontation! Word just in that the retired heroine Iron Matron has been engaged in battle with the unknown monster alongside two other combatants we can only identify to be highschoolers of U.A High.

We're currently getting some feedback from down below. Back to you Kuina-san!" A woman documented with trained expertise before passing the torch back to the reporter at ground level.

Far away, within a certain home, a green haired woman clutched her mouth tightly as tears streamed down her eyes. Her shaking vision hung deeply upon the figure of a tall, green haired boy that had his shirt torn about and was bleeding from several cuts.

"Izuku.. please.. please be safe..!" She broke down then and there. Tears running endlessly yet she couldn't take her eyes off the T.V.

Elsewhere, Mina and Uraraka had already called upon the rest of their classmates to regroup and help with civilian control as they were short of heroes on that side currently.

The moment they arrived they wasted no time helping civilians calm down and regroup at a safer location, even Bakugo was seen being gentle with older folks.

Mina had also retrieved Daisy from the cafe. Though unconscious, she appeared to be breathing. That was enough to make them sigh in relief. But as they worked together without much words to speak on the matter one single thought lingered among them all.

And it was that they simply hoped Izuku, Ryūjin and Viverion would remain safe.
