Chapter 24 - Chapter 24

Sean picked up a small book titled "How not to die in the spiritual realm." The book was blue. It had black writing on it. Well, they sure didn't spare any expense on this one. The cover showed a man trying to escape, with a sword driven through him by a demon. It said, "Prepare or die." I need to read this more when I'm awake. Sitting the book to the side, gleaming item left inside of the box. Lifting it up he observed noticed the glittering nature of the item. It looks fancy. It was pure gold and had his name on it in cursive.

Sean sat the gold card on the table and looked out the window. I guess I need to get ready for bed. Sean felt his eyes water and getting heavier. He didn't know what to think. His new life was too confusing, and he had no idea what to do, how to get ready, and who to trust. Tomorrow was the beginning of an unknown journey. How do I get back to Earth from here?I guess it will be revealed when I get to the pad at 8:00 o'clock in the morning. Sean closed his eyes, and he remembered he had to set the alarm clock. Or maybe I could do a wake-up call. He looked over to a small clock it had different alarm settings, cute, mild, and hardcore. I don't think hardcore will be the best in this situation.

Sean laughed slightly as he remembered he was exhausted from the day before. Maybe I should take a shower in the morning. I don't want to be funky. Sean was already sleepy, but he dragged himself from the sofa and slipped into the shower with his boxers on.

I totally forgot to take them off.I can't believe it.I guess at this point, I might as well leave them on. Sean sat there, feeling the warm water pour over his body. He could not tell the difference between the tears and the water as he stared at the ground in the shower. The shower was extravagant. It had huge walls and marble floors. It had what looked like a silver faucet and gold handles.

He was amazed at how beautiful it was. He cleaned his whole body and washed his hair. He enjoyed the sensation of being soaked in the warm water. He was sore from all the training, both mental and physical, from the other day and from the trial today and the turmoil of losing Samantha.

He stood there for several minutes, pounding against the marble wall, his fists became red, he hit more as if trying to kill a demon; I'll learn whatever technique it takes to figure out where they took Samantha and where my beloved Tabatha is. Sean sat there. His eyes gazed into the marble, his anger fuming. I'm tired of being left in the shadows. I want to know what's going on here. There has to be more than what I can see. I have been told to keep my eyes open and be aware of what is happening around me and not to trust anyone. Sean sat there and started to think more about finding the hidden mysteries in the Dreamweaver Society. I know this place is good. I know there's nothing wrong here, but there must be snakes. Maybe if I move up the chain, I can get access to certain materials. His body began to wrinkle, and he turned off the water.

That's too much thinking for tonight. Sean smiled slightly. Samantha would tell me to go to bed. He looked at his clock, and it was midnight. I guess I should try to wear my robe. I never liked these back on Earth.I thought they were always itchy, and they kept me from moving around and when I would have my intimacy with Tabatha.Maybe she enjoyed sexy time. Perhaps I should have taken more into consideration of her feelings. She wanted me to enjoy the process of making love to her, and I was an absolute idiot.Maybe I still am.Perhaps that is why I'm here. Inside the closet, he saw a few more robes; there were purple-red and black robes. Anyway, I like these robes. Sean pulled out a purple one and slipped it on. It felt like it was made for his body to fit perfectly. He was too poor on Earth to afford anything else. He thought back to the tailored suit that cost him $500 at a low-budget boutique in the city he lived in.

Sean lay on the plush bed, moving slightly. Is this a waterbed? No, don't tell me it's a waterbed. They really went out and got me a waterbed. It's different from the one I used to have. Maybe they were waiting for me to see if I would fall into The Void, or perhaps they were waiting to see what would happen to me if I didn't make it. The things I enjoyed on Earth appear here. I guess all the more reason to work hard.

Sean rolled around from laughing until he fell asleep. He felt the waterbed gracefully go up and down like the waves of the ocean. Man, I really could get used to this. Sean closed his eyes. His last thoughts were of Tabatha and Samantha, the two people he loved most in the world.
