**Chapter 1: Kakashi: Who is Hatake 50/50? What the hell?**
Land of Fire, Konohagakure, inside the Hatake clan grounds.
Hatake Kakashi stared at a diary on the table in front of him, lost in deep thought.
Written on the cover of the diary was: **Reo's Diary (Hatake Kakashi Copy)**.
This diary had just fallen from the sky onto his desk, which made him very nervous for a while. He even checked the inside and outside carefully but found no mechanisms or traces of ninjutsu.
One must know, this is the Hatake clan grounds. Although he is currently the only true clansman left, there are still quite a few branch members with Hatake blood. An ordinary person couldn't possibly pull a trick right under the nose of Konoha's Number One Technician.
After all, he is Konoha's Number One Technician, one of the top-tier ninja standing just below the Kages of the various villages.
After confirming it wasn't poisonous, he opened the diary.
It really was a diary, but the content was... strange.
**Konoha Year 63, May 1st, Sunny**
[Set off to subdue some rebellious bandits.]
**May 2nd, Sunny**
[What the hell kind of world is this? I had never even killed a chicken before, but today I killed several bandits in a row. Though, these bandits committed all sorts of crimes anyway.]
**May 3rd, Sunny**
[On the return journey, nothing unexpected happened.]
**May 4th, Overcast**
[Finally returned to Konoha. My tight nerves can finally relax.]
**May 5th, Sunny**
[Nothing happened today, trained at home.]
**May 6th, Showers**
[Nothing happened today, trained at home.]
**May 7th, Sunny**
[Nothing happened today, continued training.]
**May 8th, Cloudy**
[Completed a C-rank mission today. Tired.]
Reading up to here, it was just trivial daily matters. Hatake Kakashi frowned; this looked like the diary of a Konoha ninja named Reo, recording daily life events.
However, writing a diary is not common for ninja, let alone writing one every day, because a diary could leak a lot of key information. For a ninja, intelligence is extremely important.
But the following content made him furrow his brows involuntarily.
**May 9th, Sunny**
[Passed by the Ninja Academy today and saw the famous Uzumaki Naruto. He's really being completely ostracized. Demon Fox? Heh, stupid villagers, truly laughable.
However, I didn't dare approach him. Who knows if the Anbu around him would just take me down? After all, I'm just an ordinary Chunin. In times of war, I'd only serve as cannon fodder.]
Seeing this, Hatake Kakashi suddenly sat up straight. Of course, he knew who Uzumaki Naruto was—his teacher's posthumous child, with the legendary Nine-Tailed Demon Fox sealed inside him. But how did this Reo know?
Only a very few in the upper echelons of Konoha know that Uzumaki Naruto is the posthumous son of the Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato, along with himself, the Fourth's former student.
And there aren't many who know that the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox is sealed within him. The ordinary villagers only know him as the incarnation of the Demon Fox, thinking he is the embodiment of the giant Nine-Tails from the disaster twelve years ago.
Even most ninja aren't very clear on the details, but reading between the lines, this Reo seems to know something.
Reo, a Chunin!
He was certain his brain held no information regarding a Chunin by this name.
To be precise, Konoha ninja are as numerous as the hairs on an ox. He doesn't necessarily know every Jonin, let alone the Chunin.
Those who become widely known are usually the few elites who have made a name for themselves; such people are rare even among Jonin.
He began to suspect: could this guy named Reo be a spy from another village? He almost immediately wanted to go find this Reo. However, the moment the thought arose, an invisible, terrifying pressure descended.
He instinctively perceived that if he took that step, he would die instantly and invisibly!
Kakashi immediately dismissed the thought, but he still suspected someone was around his house. He instantly activated a sensory ninjutsu to perceive the surroundings.
Although he isn't a sensory type ninja, as the famous Konoha Technician, he knows some sensory ninjutsu, though far less precise and with much shorter range than a specialized sensory ninja.
However, in his perception, he didn't find a single person.
Is there really such a person in this world?
Impossible. Even the Hokage couldn't do this silently, let alone perceive his thoughts.
As long as he wanted to find this Reo, that great terror would immediately arise.
He couldn't understand it, but he was certain of one thing: as long as he didn't think about finding Reo, that terrifying pressure wouldn't appear.
Hatake Kakashi touched his back; it was completely soaked in cold sweat.
No, he had to find a way to figure out this Reo's background and situation. He also discovered that as long as he didn't think about *directly* going to find Reo, the terrifying pressure wouldn't be triggered.
This meant he could find a way to learn about him from the side, for example, by finding a way to transfer Reo's dossier. This obviously didn't violate the taboo.
But if there really is such an incredibly terrifying existence, what is their goal?
They clearly don't intend to keep secrets for this Reo, and even actively exposed the secret of Reo's diary. Why?
There were too many mysteries; he couldn't figure it out at all.
However, he soon saw the last entry in the diary.
**May 10th, Sunny**
[Finished the mission and went home. Saw Hatake 50/50 from a distance on the way. It was the first time seeing this Konoha Technician who is famous throughout the Ninja World. Below Kage level, he should be in the first tier of experts. But it's a pity, after Shippuden, this kind of combat power won't keep up anymore. In the end, this is a world of the Legend of Eyes. Without a bloodline, you are nothing.]
Hatake 50/50?
Is that talking about me?
Hatake Kakashi was stunned. He initially wondered if their Hatake clan really had someone named Hatake 50/50. Although he was the only serious clansman left, some distant relatives still existed.
But looking at the description that followed—Konoha Technician—it was clearly referring to him.
But since when did he have the nickname Hatake 50/50?
And what is Shippuden? What does "world of the Legend of Eyes" mean? "Without a bloodline, you are nothing"?
He knew about bloodlines; it should be referring to Kekkei Genkai. But who says you are nothing without a Kekkei Genkai?
His father didn't have any Kekkei Genkai, yet with just a sword, he carved out the prestige of the Konoha White Fang. And he, too, had established the name of Konoha's Number One Technician.
Although Kekkei Genkai are very powerful in this world, giving a much higher starting point than the average ninja, they are not invincible.
For example, he never had a Kekkei Genkai, yet he was always the best among his peers growing up. And among those he left in the dust, there was no shortage of disciples from great clans with Kekkei Genkai.
The Uchiha clan, the Hyuga clan, and so on.
Most of these people were not his match.
