Chapter 14 - disaster

Kiefer's POV

We reached their house—no, sorry, it wasn't just a house.

It was a gorgeous villa, shining golden under the night lights, breathtakingly beautiful.

We went inside. Jay had already sent drivers to pick up Kiegan and Kaiyer.

But before we could even step further, a sharp voice echoed through the hall.

"WELCOME BACK, MY KIDS… AND THE FOUR PILLARS."

Jay, Jas, Percy, and Dane immediately tried to hide their faces.

That voice…

It was the same woman from the event.

Eden.

Eden smirked.

"Stop hiding. Did you all forget? You revealed your faces yourselves."

Jay rolled her eyes.

"Ohh, I forgot," she said sarcastically.

Jas shrugged. "Our bad."

Percy smirked. "Okay, now I don't need to hide my handsome face."

Dane snapped, "Be serious, Kuya."

Percy turned serious instantly.

"Fine. Why the hell are you here? Who let you in? Don't forget—this place isn't yours. Wherever you're standing right now belongs to us."

His voice was cold, anger clearly visible.

Eden chuckled.

"Calm your voice, dear. Or else your dears—I mean Raffy and Aion—might face some trouble."

Jay's expression froze.

"What did you do?"

Jas clenched her fists.

"I swear, if you even touched them, you'll pay."

Eden waved her hand casually.

"Relax, girls. Your dears are just locked in a room."

Dane scoffed.

"Yeah, they must've been scared seeing a witch."

Eden glared. "Mind your words."

Dane smirked. "And you mind yours."

Eden sneered.

"Looks like Jasfer and Reycee didn't teach their kids any manners."

Jay snapped.

"Shut up. I'm really getting pissed at you."

Just then, a random girl entered.

Percy muttered, "Oh great. Eden and her bitch daughter—Aren."

Aren smirked.

"Really, Jay? You're pissed at me too, right?"

Jay didn't hesitate.

"Obviously. You and your mother are the same, darling."

Jas smirked.

"So… you brought her too?"

Aren glanced around.

"Who are these guys with you?"

Lia replied coldly,

"None of your business."

Jay crossed her arms.

"What do you want?"

Eden clapped lightly.

"Come, let's eat. Family dinner time."

Jas scoffed.

"We're not interested in eating with you."

Eden's smile faded.

"Come… or you know the consequences."

Jas muttered under her breath, annoyed.

We all sat at the massive dining table, so large it could fit an entire hall.

Every kind of food was laid out—luxurious, excessive.

We sat according to Jay's arrangement.

Jay sat between me and Aries.

Percy and Dane followed.

Lia and Jas sat opposite.

Eden and Aren sat at the end.

Yuri sat beside me.

"Eat," Eden said calmly.

Jay didn't touch anything.

"We know you're not here for food. Just come to the point."

Percy nodded.

"Exactly."

Eden leaned back.

"Relax. I'm just here to spend time with you all."

I finally spoke.

"What do you want?"

Jay shot me a look.

"Kiefer, don't mess in between."

Aren suddenly smiled at me.

"You're handsome. Who are you? And Jay, why do you care so much about him? And you on his right—who are you?"

I replied calmly,

"Mark Kiefer Watson."

Aries added,

"And I'm Aries Fernandez, Jay's brother."

Aren's eyes lit up.

"Ohh, a Watson. I like it. And another brother? How many siblings are there?"

Jay answered coldly.

"Without you, we are nine."

Aren smirked.

Eden sighed.

"Fine. You want the point?"

She slid a file across the table.

"Sign this. All four of you."

Percy stood up instantly.

"Are you even serious? Get out of our house right now."

He threw the file away.

Dane followed.

"I won't sign this either."

Jas snapped,

"What the hell? Let me punch you—your face itself is making me angry."

Eden laughed softly.

"All of you… what are you thinking, Miss First Pillar?"

Jay wasn't listening anymore.

She was staring at a huge photograph—a man and a woman.

Tears streamed down her face.

Jas, Percy, and Dane's eyes turned red too.

Jay suddenly stood up.

She grabbed the file and threw it straight at Eden's face.

Aren gasped.

"What the hell?!"

Jay screamed, crying and shaking at the same time.

"What do you think of yourself?! You think you'll talk and we'll sign this trash? This entire empire belongs to us—the Four Pillars! You should be ashamed! You took our parents from us when we were kids, and now you want our property too?! Even your own parents don't want to give you anything! Leave Raffy and Aion and get out of here!"

Her voice trembled as she broke down.

"Jay, calm down," Jas whispered.

Eden slowly stood up and walked toward the king chair beneath the photograph.

She sat there—like she owned everything.

Eden spoke softly, dangerously.

"Now I want that ego of yours to drop."

She looked straight at Jay.

"Come here. Kneel. Or I'll show you what happens to Aion."

Jas panicked.

"She won't, Jay. Don't!"

Eden smirked.

"Fine then…"

Jay screamed,

"Noooo!"

She stood up and walked toward Eden.

"Good girl," Eden said.

"Now kneel."

Jay knelt in front of her.

I wanted to run to her—to pull her up—to kill that woman if I had to.

But Percy was holding my hand, stopping me.

And I still don't know why
