Chapter 1 - PART 1 NOT THE SAME ANYMORE

"Get out of my house!" a middle-aged man shouted, glaring at his daughter.

The girl was crying hysterically. Tears wouldn't stop streaming down her white cheeks, which were now flushed red from holding back tears.

"Forgive Mila, Dad. T-this wasn't what Mila wanted," she explained, still sobbing.

"I don't want this family's good name to be tarnished. Of all the people in my extended family, none of them have a face as hard as you! You better get out of here right now, don't make me blush, understand!" The father pointed at Mila, who had been crying hysterically at his feet.

Mila then turned to the middle-aged woman who was silently crying. The woman was shocked to hear the news that her only daughter was pregnant. After all, her daughter was still in school and had never been seen close to any man. What parent wouldn't be disappointed if their child did such a disgusting thing.

"Mom... listen to Mila, Mom. Mila didn't do anything wrong, t-this was a mistake." Mila lowered her head deeply, tears falling to the floor. The woman, who had been called "mom," remained silent, unable to speak. She was so shocked by the shocking news that had befallen her daughter that she didn't even know how to react. Disappointment had already filled her heart.

"Are you going to defend yourself again? Get out of my house right now. Quickly!" Mila stood up. It was pointless explaining herself to her parents; they would never believe her. Mila walked out of the Gilbran Aditama family home.

It was hard for Mila to step out of the house she had lived in for seventeen years. Sweet memories of her parents flooded her mind. She walked down the highway in the dark night, with no destination in mind. All the luxuries Mila had once had were now gone, and the friends who had surrounded her once began to turn their backs on her. Mila sobbed, her hair dancing in the increasingly cold night breeze, piercing to the bone. At the bus stop, Mila stopped, simply to relieve the fatigue of her long walk. One by one, the raindrops fell, wetting the ground, as if they were crying along with her, lamenting Mila's fate. Her vision blurred, covered by the tears that continuously flowed from Mila's eyes. She was heartbroken and wounded, and she despaired in the stillness of the night. There was no support or warm embrace to soothe her pain.

"Mila?" A girl in casual clothes and long hair gently patted Mila's shoulder, who was sitting in a daze. Mila looked up and saw the face of the girl who had patted her.

"Aina?" Aina immediately sat down next to Mila. She stared at Mila in confusion, as she looked so different from usual.

"What are you doing here alone this late at night, Mila?" Suddenly, Mila hugged Aina tightly, crying. Aina became even more confused. How could she not cry? The girl next to her was a cheerful person, but how could she be crying so hard like this? Aina gently stroked Mila's shoulder. "Mila, what's wrong with you? If you want to cry, just cry, don't hold it in," Aina said, trying to understand her friend's situation.

Mila complied. As Mila's cries subsided, the rain intensified, accompanied by deafening thunder, making everyone reluctant to leave the daycare. Mila looked at Aina sadly. "I'm pregnant, Na…"

"W-what?" Aina was shocked. She couldn't believe that her friend, Mila, who seemed like such a nice girl, was now pregnant. "So, what are you going to do now?"

"My father kicked me out of the house. Mona and the others wouldn't help me." Mila's cheeks were wet with tears again. "Be patient, okay, Mil?"

"How about you stay at my house? I know it's ugly. You probably won't like it, but for now, you can stay with me." Mila stared intently at Aina, who was smiling broadly at her. Mila's eyes welled up with tears, both happy and confused. How could Aina offer help so easily, even though they weren't that close. Meanwhile, the close friends Mila had always been proud of? Not a single one was willing to help her in this time of need. Mila felt suffocated at the thought.

"But Na, I'll be a burden on you."

"It's okay. Come on! Let's go to my house. I think... the rain won't stop." Aina stood holding an umbrella with her left hand, while her right hand was extended to Mila. Mila accepted Aina's outstretched hand with emotion, they walked together and disappeared into the darkness of the night.
