Ever since the extraterrestrial crystals called tiberium seeded the earth, the planet changed significant, while tiberium, indeed a profitable resource, rich in precious metals, as crystals leeched the precious metals from earth, it also cause ecological damage as tiberium is found to have a mutagenic effect on trees, mutating them into bizarre plants that take the form of fleshy stalks with a large bulb at the top. These "blossom trees" continually release tiberium spores into the air, spreading tiberium to the surrounding area. To make matters worse, tiberium not only leeched precious metals from the earth, but also leeched vital nutrients from other plant life. It was also extremely toxic to humans, causing those who come into contact with it to suffer tiberium poisoning.
Because of this reason, the global defence initiative (GDI) wanted to destroy the crystals to save the planet from ecological damage that the crystals might do, the brotherhood of nod on other hand, viewed tiberium as priceless resource to accelerate human progress, which is why they want to a accelerate the growth of crystals and performed many human experiments, in hope to create tiberium-based humanity that broke the shackles weakness, and thrive even after tiberium take over the planet.
The differeing ideology is what resulted in two tiberium wars, with Kane, the leader and prophet of brotherhood of nod went missing, though GDI believe that Kane is dead. The brotherhood was splintered into many groups, after Kane's assumed death. It is unknown whether Kane is truly dead, or he simply went into hiding, again. However, nobody knows, that a different type of storm is brewing. That storm is Edward Green.
Edward Green, is a charismatic and loyal member of the brotherhood, Edward is a master genetist, biochemist and pharmacist, he has strong moral compass, but he is also pragmatic, and like every member of brotherhood, saw tiberium not as curse but a boon. He decided to find a cure for tiberium poisoning, modify the genes of humans with tiberium, in hope create new humanity that survive the tiberium radiation.
His goal to make humans immune to tiberium is still a long way to go, but hre atleast succeeded in creating a curse for tiberium poisoning, those who are infected by tiberium poisoning, their crystallization is reversed and their damaged tissues are repaired, the cure utilised the very tiberium that plagued the infected, as liquid tiberium is what needed to create tiberium antitoxins.
Because of this he gained the trust of humans and forgotten alike in yellow zones, of course, him curing the people are kept secret, the people who are aware of the cure swore to secrecy, and slowly but surely, more recruits join Edward, thus, Edward's nod loyalist faction, Crimson Cape is born.
Edward decided to focus on helping the forgotten to find a way to reverse the tiberium mutation, in order to revert the forgotten back to human, thanks to the cure, Edward made, many bright minds are more than willing to help Edward.
In an underground "Crimson Cape" sanctum, beneath a crumbling yellow zone cathedral. The air in the lab smelled of ozone and destiny. Edward Green adjusted the microscope, watching as the liquid tiberium antitoxin bonded with the human host cells.
On the table before him lay a nod militant, his lungs scarred by spore inhalation. To GDI, this man was a casualty. To rival splinter groups, he was expendable. But to the Crimson Cape, he was a canvas.
Edward injected the serum. The soldier's body arched as the crystals under his skin began to pulse—not with the erratic growth of a mutation, but with a synchronized, rhythmic hum. The "cure" wasn't meant to remove the tiberium, but to harmonize it with human DNA.
Edward's thoughts turned bitter as he looked at the crimson banner hanging on the wall, marked with the brotherhood's crest.
A sensor chimed on his console. A GDI zone trooper patrol was scanning the ruins above.
Edward recalled his past, as the nod militant woke up and found himself healed, intensifying his loyalty to brotherhood.
That's right Edward Green is not ordinary nod member, he is a transmigrator, he was a renowned biochemist in his past life, who ace the biochemistry, but a small mistake made by him caused a lab accident, claiming his life, but in next moment, he found himself reborn in different earth where the extraterrestrial crystals, infested the world.
Since, he retained his memory of past life, he did his own research on crystals and found that the crystals can be controlled with proper knowledge, allowing one to turn the curse into blessing, he literally facepalmed when he learned more about tiberium and compared his finding to findings of Ignatio Mobius.
