Back when they were at the academy, Kinto, Alex and Baraka were involved in a swimming training along side the rest of their classmates at the time. The place where they were swimming resembled a huge river with tree's around, almost like they were in a rainforest. As the kids swam, Baraka(Six years old) turned to Kinto "Hey, Kinto. Don't you think swimming here is kinda dangerous?", Kinto(Six years old) explained "Nah, it's not. Before we take part In these kinds of training, soldiers are usually sent a day before to kill any water beast they find so we won't get into danger. And plus....". Kinto looked forward at Tomoa(14 years old) who was leading them "Our teacher over there is an experienced soldier, he's taking care of us today for his training.", Kinto looked into the air "And also, look up.", Baraka looked up. Kinto told him "There's a combat drone in the air that's keeping track of us. Not to mention that there's also another soldier sitting on the drone too.",Veronica(18 years old) at the time was sitted on the drone while looking at the kids, a bed Shikigami looking down at the kids as well. She thought "Wow, those kids seem to be keeping up with the swimming training pretty well.", she laid flat on the drone "Ehn, nothing bad can happen right now.". Baraka was amazed "Woooow! Cool.", he looked at Kinto "So nothing bad can happen to us here?", Kinto replied "For the most part, no.". Tomoa called out to the kids "We still have one more kilometre to swim to. Depend on your natural physical strength, only use a small amount of your energy to retain stamina. Anyone who builds up more than the required energy would do an extra five hundred meters swim.", all the kids jolted "FIVE HUNDRED METERS?!". Serena and Sukuna(Both Six years old at the time) swam together, they're faces looked straight but slightly stunned "An extra five hundred meters without energy? That's going to be difficult.", Serena said, Sukuna sighed "Aahhh! I'm tired.". Baraka looked back "Hey, Alex. You've been quiet for a while. You okay?". Alex(Six years old) was struggling to swim properly "No, I'm not. I don't like the water, I can drown at any moment, you've gotta help me.", Kinto looked a little confused "Ah, come on Alex. It's just a little water. And plus, I've seen you pull off tricks on obstacles before. It's not that hard.". Alex's tone became more serious, sounding like he needed help "No, I'm serious. I'm going to drown at any moment from now. Baraka, Kinto, you've got to help me.". Kinto and Baraka instantly understood that Alex was in danger. A few minutes later, the three friends were sitted on a wide rock bed. Baraka was using his earth manipulation ability to create and fortify it "Quick thinking, Baraka.", Kinto said to him. He looked at Alex "You okay, Alex?", Alex replied "I'm fine. My arms hurt a little from swimming for an hour straight, but it's fine.". Kinto and Baraka looked forward "Hey, we're really behind, you know.", Alex looked sad "Sorry for slowing you two down.", he said, Kinto replied "It's nothing, really.", Baraka added "Yeah, it's what friends do.". Kinto looked at Baraka "Baraka, use your ability to create a rock bed for Alex. Make it very flat and not too heavy so it can support his weight without drowning.", Baraka replied "On it.". Soon enough, the trio caught on the others, Kazuki(Six at the time) glanced at Alex before looking forward again "The idiot almost drowned, what a pain.", he thought. Alex smiled softly "I'm really glad I have you two as my friend.", he thought. At current time, Alex was sitting on the ground. His right eye was bleeding, and his left arm was burnt. Alex was battered, he had some burns marks on his torso and part of his face. He smirked softly and scoffed "Even at that time, they still had my back when I couldn't do some certain things.", he chuckled softly before looking front "Looks like I'm the one who won, you water wind bastard!". Nerevion was laying dead on the sandy floor, his body was burned, battered and bloodied. Alex stood up and walked over to his corpse, the wastelands around him were destroyed due to the intense fight he and Nerevion had "So much for cutting me into pieces and eating my remains.". Alex walked past him, he looked up and noticed that for the first time since he got transported into the dimension, the sky was clear, it looked like that of a sun set. Alex paused in amusement "Wow. It's almost as if I'm still on earth. I never thought I'd see a sun set.". Alex's wounds started to heal, he brought out a small scroll from his pocket which he opened, causing a bottle of medicine to appear. Alex summoned a bottle of water from the same scroll, he drank the medicine and then proceeded to drink the bottle of water. Alex took a sigh of relief "Ahhh! It's a good thing i always carry these scrolls with me. Actually, it was something that was drilled into our heads back at the academy.". Alex remembered a teacher explaining "On no account must you even leave on a mission without any scroll. These scrolls are used to store first aid, or amo for guns and blasters. For those of you who want to depend more on weapons during your journey as soldiers and assassins, you'll need them a lot.". The flashback ended, Alex thought to himself "It's funny because nowadays, most people attach talismans into their pockets rather than carrying small scrolls with them.", he looked up into the air "Now that I think of it, the only weapons I'm fond of using are just my daggers. It's not like I can't use other weapons like guns or blasters, i just prefer using my powers and my physical capabilities more.". Alex took a deep breath out "Whatever, I'm just glad I survived this battle.". As he walked, a notification popped up infront of him [Looks like you didn't die against Nerevion. Good for you.], Alex grew annoyed "If you weren't going to get involved, you should have at least tried giving me tips on how not to get my skull kicked in by a guy who can summon water dragons!". Shenragon replied by sending another notification [Relax. You had everything under control you idiot.], Alex yelled "NO I DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING UNDER CONTROL! IF ANYTHING, I LOST ALL SORTS OF CONTROL!". Alex grew tired "Look, Shenragon. Just tell me what my next objective is. I just spent a whole day fighting.....", he stopped "Wait, what was his name again? The guy i just fought. You just made mention of it.", Alex questioned himself. Shenragon typed [Idiot, dont you have mannerisms? How the hell do you not know the name of an enemy that almost got you killed?", Alex yelled with frustration "YOU DIDN'T GIVE ME ANY INFO ABOUT HIS NAME IN THE FIRST PLACE YOU FUCKING-". [BLEEEEEEP].
