Chapter 14 - Agency Offers

The video opened...

The ViewTube's icon appeared, and the video began playing.

Aren put it in full-screen mode and continued watching.

The next second, the video began, and an old man with thin white hair and a matching white goatee beard appeared on the screen.

His face was full of wrinkles, reflecting his age of 74.

He spoke with enthusiasm, "Hello everyone, I'm Dailen Shot, a humble acting coach."

His voice continued as the screen showed To Your Heart's finale banner.

"Yesterday night at 8:30, AxisPlay's To Your Heart Drama ended with a bang, causing a stir on social media."

The screen returned to Dailen.

"I was requested by many to break down an acting scene from the final episode."

Beside Dailen, a square picture of Aren's still as Shin appeared.

"This was the scene that everyone requested for me to analyze and share my views on."

The screen then switched to a short clip of Dailen reacting to the episode in real time as if watching the episode like a normal viewer.

"At first, I was skeptical, so I gave the episode a watch. I even recorded my reaction just in case."

In the clip, Dailen stood up when the episode ended. It was a three-second clip with Aren's performance ending.

The screen returned to Dailen.

"I have uploaded the full reaction on my second channel. You can give it a watch if you want."

He clapped once to invite the viewer's attention to his next words.

"I won't say any further. Let's breakdown the acting scene of Shin's entrance!"

The video suddenly showed change; in the bottom left of the screen, a small rectangle appeared, which then turned big enough to occupy the screen. It was the start of Aren's scene.

The screen then began the scene.

The doors shot open with a loud noise. The video paused, the scene returning to a small rectangle, allowing Dailen to point at it and explain.

"Here, the actor has used force and sound to attract the viewer's attention to himself. This was a genius move that made viewers interested in knowing who has entered. This creates a perfect stage for his entry."

When he finished speaking, the video resumed.

Aren enters and looks left and right in a hurry.

"Here, the actor shows hurry with his actions. It is clear that he is looking for someone. Moreover, his actions aren't exaggerated, which creates a perfect immersion for the viewers."

Aren's gaze fixes on Leon.

"When the actor's gaze fixes on Leo here, you can notice his gaze softening for only a moment. His gaze then instantly shifts to fury, hurry, pain, and other emotions. It's almost difficult to believe that this actor managed to reflect such a mix of emotions from just his gaze."

Dailen then begins to explain each and every action of Aren as pure genius.

His gaze reflecting the myriad of emotions, the slight twitch in his lips, his trembling hands, his breathing, squeezing his eyes shut for just a moment, everything was unbelievably genius according to him.

He was all praises for Aren's performance.

He even said that Aren's performance in this five-minute sequence was better than any actor he had worked with, and if someone knew Dailen Shot, they would know that he had worked with most of the award-winning actors.

But most of all, he noticed every small detail in Aren's performance that even Aren himself had missed.

Even Aren was surprised and impressed by the end of that video.

After finishing the video, Aren remained dazed for a while, his mind replaying the last words said by Dailen Shot about him.

"It was as if he wasn't acting; instead, he was really in that situation. It's impossible to capture all these emotions otherwise."

And he was right. It was only because of the system that Aren had been able to use immersion; however, since Dailen Shot praised him this highly, a new problem was in front of him.

He would be expected to act on a similar level to this scene, which he couldn't do.

When expectations are so high, it becomes a burden.

However, while Aren was busy worrying about this, the fans of Ventage were getting a bashing.

All the hate comments they left about Aren's acting were getting replies, asking what they thought about his acting now.

[Hahaha, this is so funny. Ventage fans were so full of themselves when Conrad said Aren's acting was amateurish, but look at them now; they aren't even replying back.]

[What is even left to say? Dailen Shot himself has praised Aren's acting.]

[Even though I'm not an Aren fan, I still found it appalling when those Ventage fans kept leaving unnecessary hate comments on every snip and post. Don't they have their own brain?]

On the other hand, other media houses were exaggerating Aren's news.

'Is the best debut award for next year confirmed? A rookie praised by legend Dailen Shot as a genius!'

All this had to have a reaction, and it came at Aren in a wave.

Suddenly, he began to receive messages on his LinkChat.

[This is Cobalt Frame Talent. We would like to sign you. Please contact us to arrange a meeting.]

Cobalt Frame Talent was a low-tier agency, famous for signing supporting actors. Since Aren had played a supporting role in To Your Heart, they thought that they had a chance of recruiting him.

Most agencies that contacted him were either low-tier or mid-tier at most.

The top tier agencies still preferred to stay away from him, thinking that his fame was temporary. Moreover, since he was hated by Ventage fans, any agency that signed him would have to bear the backlash from them.

Aren didn't seem lucrative enough to make them take that risk.

Ignoring the agencies reaching out to sign him, he checked the remaining messages.

Those were messages from productions reaching out for a role; however, all of them were supporting roles. Aren knew that they only wanted to cast him to get free publicity, just like how To Your Heart had received.

After checking out a few scripts for any good roles, he sighed in defeat and closed his phone.

Since there were still not any good roles for him, his reputation must still be horrible.

After all, the rumors about him bullying his teammates, not being able to work together, having high demands, and luxurious expenditures must have stained his reputation worse than he had initially thought.

Moreover, signing him would also mean going against Blackshore Management and the other members of Ventage and their fans.

Aren was still not attractive enough to make the agencies and drama productions make an enemy out of all of them.

After a short while of closing his phone, his ears rang with a familiar soft voice.

[Ding! Host, Your fame has increased by a huge margin...]
