Chapter 132 - The Soup Betrayal of General Yuwen

Vario's hands trembled as realization finally set in.

Yuwen wasn't just some demon.

She was the woman general—the former Demon King's most trusted commander, the strategist who once directed armies with a flick of her finger. Calm. Precise. Merciless.

And she was standing right in front of him.

Holding his soup.

Yuwen stepped fully into the light, armor neatly fastened, long hair tied back, horns polished like ceremonial blades. Her presence alone made the air feel heavier. Then she looked down at the cup in her hand and peeled the label off slowly.

"Vario's. Do Not Touch."

She read it.

She nodded.

She took a sip.

Vario felt his soul leave his body.

Nyx slapped a hand over her mouth. "She's doing it on purpose."

Bella didn't move. "She absolutely is."

Seraphine clasped her hands together. "This is not war. This is cruelty."

Yuwen tasted thoughtfully, eyes never leaving Vario's face. "Mushroom base," she said calmly. "Rich. Comforting. I understand why you saved it."

"That was…" Vario swallowed hard. "That was my break soup."

Yuwen tilted her head slightly. "Then you should have guarded it better."

She took another spoonful. Slow. Deliberate. Each bite landed like a psychological strike. The scrape of the spoon against the cup echoed through the store, louder than any Oni roar.

Vario staggered back a step. "You… you could've taken anything. There were noodles. There were snacks. There was turkey—"

"I chose the soup," Yuwen interrupted. "Because it mattered to you."

Nyx whispered, "This is villain behavior."

Bella nodded. "Elite-tier."

Yuwen finished the last spoonful, tapped the empty cup once, and finally looked away. "Seven out of ten," she said. "Slightly too salty."

She set the empty container gently on the counter in front of Vario.

Silence filled the store.

Vario stared at it, knees weak, heart shattered. "You ate it," he said quietly. "In front of me."

"Yes," Yuwen replied. "And I would do it again."

She turned and walked toward the exit, cape swaying calmly behind her. At the door, she paused.

"Next time," she said without looking back, "labeling food is not enough."

The doors slid shut.

Vario slowly sank to the floor, staring at the empty cup like it was a grave.

Bella sighed. "You've fought gods."

Nyx shook her head. "You've survived Karens."

Seraphine placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

Vario whispered, broken, "But I wasn't ready for her."

And in that moment, everyone agreed:

This wasn't a defeat.

This was a betrayal.
